What are you fummin about and why have you phrased it as sending?
I was sending her on a trip there, but it's been cancelled as other parents are scared of terrorists.

How many other parents?
And didn't move away in time for you getting backMy man and dad sent me to Coventry instead.
Your out of touch with reality.
You wouldn't catch me making a freudian slit
Just a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!
If you had a child in Year 6 (age 10-11), would you be willing to send them on a school trip to London? It would include travelling down by train, staying in a Youth Hostel for two nights and visiting popular tourist attractions by Tube.
There is more chance of being injured or killed on the transportation to get there and back, or even on the way to school every day, than being a victim of terrorism. Some parents just like to be seen as protective, rather than actually thinking things through.I was sending her on a trip there, but it's been cancelled as other parents are scared of terrorists.
Dont think so not in todays climateJust a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!

The exact same thing happened when I was in the fourth year juniors (age 11) in the June before moving on to senior school.I was sending her on a trip there, but it's been cancelled as other parents are scared of terrorists.
Yes of course, what would any reason not to be?Just a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!

And they also wouldn't let them stay in the house; after all deaths from knives, electrocution, murder, suicide, obesity & related mortality, fire etc. are all higher (both in total quantity and rate) in the house than being stabbed to death by death by a Muslim in London.
What?
So because the majority of people did something, it’s the right thing to do?
The parents are doing nothing but responding based on horrifically biased opinions and not facts.
If they didn’t want their child in danger, they’d not let them out of the house.
Like I said - they’re more likely to die on the way to school than to be involved in a terror attack.
WhyNo. Most certainly not
Buy every parent in the class a copy of Dan Gardner's "Risk" - it'll set you back the same cost as her trip would have and hopefully stop the thickies from being so dense in the future again xI was sending her on a trip there, but it's been cancelled as other parents are scared of terrorists.
Our junior school Christmas parties involved Scottish country dancing. We were paired up and had to do the gay gordons etc. No idea why they thought that was a fun party afternoon as everyone hated it!
In the last year juniors, it was amazing because we were allowed disco lights on and danced to Agadoo and Superman etc
Kids aged 10 travelling in the tube with only a few minders?
That would pull on my heartstrings big time tbh.
could whack them in a premier inn or something but a hostel, no chance
I hadn't realised just how insular and out if touch home was until I read this. f***ing hell.
