Just a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!
If you had a child in Year 6 (age 10-11), would you be willing to send them on a school trip to London? It would include travelling down by train, staying in a Youth Hostel for two nights and visiting popular tourist attractions by Tube.
No chance, a f***ing hostel ffs. Who would willingly put their 11 yr old in one of them doss holes
Perhaps The Ritz was fully booked that week.
What is your reason to refuse?
I haven't refused. I've already paid the deposit but the trip has been cancelled due to others not wanting to send their children.
could whack them in a premier inn or something but a hostel, no chance
Some people should have their kids taken off them. Utter spineless idiots.I haven't refused. I've already paid the deposit but the trip has been cancelled due to others not wanting to send their children.
What is wrong with people nowadays?could whack them in a premier inn or something but a hostel, no chance
Have you ever been in a YH?
could whack them in a premier inn or something but a hostel, no chance
why?
It's a Youth Hostel set up for school use with their own secured corridor. It has rooms and bathrooms for all the children and teachers. Once they're in a night, the corridor door will be locked so nobody can get in and nobody can walk off.
Just on lads weekends away, communal bathrooms, scruffy people, manky, dirty stinking places. No chance would i pay for my kids to stop in one. I cant believe they would even consider it to be honest
As long as she / he is supervised they will be fine Becs, although I understand your concerns!Just a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!

We've coughed 230 ish for our 9 yo to go to Derwent hill for 5 days.To be fair to get 20+ parents out of 29 to find 280 quid in North East England is rather optimistic IMO.
My cousin went to live in London at that age. Billy Elliot house he stayed in.Just a straw poll as I'm proper fummin about something!
