Grayson should not have been sacked

10 games at Bradford

0 wins
2 draws
8 losses

No one needs to say anymore on the subject

this lack of knowledge of football outside the premier league is one of the reasons Sunderland are going down.

Grayson has managed Bradford for 4 games, not 10

Simon Grayson seems to be showing Sunderland AFC up for their inexplicable sacking of him by successfully guiding Bradford to one goal and one point from four games, losing his last three on the trot.

This is the same Simon Grayson who said that he deserved to be in the Championship, and despite several requests from League 1 clubs, only went to Bradford as they were the only club in the league to show ambition.

The same Simon Grayson who, as manager of Bradford, said after losing to Wigan “We’re disappointed but we have to dust ourselves down."

The same Simon Grayson who, whilst managing Preston said, after defeat to Derby “It wasn’t what the supporters deserved and it wasn’t what the team deserved, but we have to dust ourselves down."

The same Simon Grayson who, whilst managing Sunderland said, after defeat to Cardiff “We dust ourselves down, back at work in the morning, Ipswich and Preston our next two games ..."

Well done, Simon. Well done. Keep up with the dusting.

The same Simon Grayson who has led Blackpool, Leeds, Huddersfield and Preston to promotion.

The same Simon Grayson who led Preston to consecutive top half finishes with the lowest budget in the the championship

The same Simon Grayson who made over 600 career appearances as a player, many of them in the Premier League.

Aye, the same Simon Grayson who left Sunderland AFC with it's worst group of footballers in a near 140 year history. He took a squad of lazy, useless, tw@ts with no backbone and brought in more of the same - thus making a poor squad even worse.

You don't do yourself any favours, do you, mate??

Have you ever disclosed your link to Simon Grayson? I mean, people on here joke that you're him but for one I'd hope he is concentrating on Bradford and secondly he doesn't look like he can operate a table lamp nevermind a computer. You must know him though; friend, relative, Mrs Grayson? I really hope you do because otherwise you're just a random person who has nothing better to do than randomly be Simon Grayson's biggest fan and constantly post shit about him on message boards of clubs he's not even at any more. If that's the case then sorry, your life is tragic as fuck.

He came in, tried his best, failed and left. He was here for next to no time. Did he deserve longer? Hard to tell but certainly he was making plenty of mistakes and made it very easy to get rid of him. Either way, in the history of SAFC he will be nothing more than a very brief footnote. No one gives a fuck about him one way or the other. This random constant defending of him, his record and his time here is tedious beyond belief, no one gives a fuck

I thought he was absolutely shite.

Now we've got someone absolutely shiter am willing to downgrade him to merely "shite".

Look what Coleman has been left with man. £0 to spend. Absolutely stinking atmosphere of a squad. 2 teenagers as strikers. 1 centre half who can't move, the other centre half can't wait to move. A centre midfielder whose body is totally fucked at the age of 29. Another centre midfielder who is pissed 24/7...and injured! Another midfielder who can't be bothered to get off his arse whilst earning 70k per week. 3 right backs and you can't make a decent one out of the 3!...that is just scratching the surface of it all.

Yep. And he hasn't improved a single solitary thing. Not one. Not even a hint. In fact we've regressed still further.

aye but apart from that.... :)

Scary thing is, I could have went on!

Haway then?
You suggested Coleman having to "use the tools he's got" excuses him entirely from being held responsible for engineering a 10 game winless run which has us mere weeks from the most embarrassing relegation in the club's history.

You're suggesting no one could have done just a little bit better and he's just a poor victim of some devilish conspiracy?

Grayson was the wrong appointment. Moyes sucked all the enthusiasm out of the club, made it pretty clear that he didn't want to be here and started the culture we're reaping the benefits of now. When we replaced him we needed a manager who was behaviourally 'up'. Thanks to a couple of bucknuts in charge we made the process more difficult than it should've been and limited the pool. Grayson was not the man who would lift the spirit around the place, he did initially but medium term it was clear the mood was the same. Now the lunatics have taken over the asylum and we need to gut the playing squad.
