Grayson should not have been sacked

Knows League 1 inside out. You’d be better off if you still had him now. Likely to do the double over SAFC next season on his way to promotion.

Give it up man, it isn't working. Your previous point was utter nonsense and this one is a really poor attempt at fishing, something which has been done a million times and far better than you ever have. Your posts and opinions on this forum are worthless.

He should have gone but any manager coming in needed backing as these players have zero interest.

A few bairns and crocks were never going to make any difference.

Let face it, Moyes, Grayson and Coleman haven't made the slightest positive impact at the club.
You can make all the arguments you like, but it seems evident that all 3 would have us in the exact same position today.

I've said all along, its not the managers' fault. Only a very specifically-talented manager can manage to work under these circumstances - sadly,we found one such man, and he left - although we're not even certain that would have worked out either.

Sunderland were poor under Grayson no doubt about that.

But...

Grayson was charged with the task of rebuilding a club in a mess with a group of players not anywhere near good enough to compete at this level.

It was a long term job and Grayson, the right man for the job, was sacked before we had even reached November.

That Preston team yesterday was build by Grayson on a tiny budged, he has knowledge and contacts at this level of football that would have allowed him to rebuild Sunderland if given time.

Lack of respect for the championship from Sunderland players and owners in particular and, dare I say it, fans also is what is leading to relegation.
