Weight Loss 2019

The hardest thing is to stop eating so much of the food that tastes the nicest but makes you fatter.
Oh, I hear you, that's still a problem for me as well. Bread is my weakness. The other day I bought a loaf of French bread to serve with dinner but I was snacking on it while I was cooking, a piece here and there, and before you know it, I had finished the fucker before I was even done with dinner:oops:.

It is my biggest struggle.

Yes bread is very nice, I try to limit it to 2 slices or 1 bagel a day.

What you and I need to invent is chocolate flavoured spinach.

Hi Monk, . Lots of us bread monsters about, favour it above anything to be honest, but find if I can stop eating it in up to 10 days or so, I can lose about 7 or 8 pounds without fail every time.

Struggling with fluid retention at the minute in my legs due to either bad reaction to new medication, (which I think) but hospital think may be either a Lupus increase, so more tablets needed or a leaky heart valve.

So had to stop exercise, taking water tablets, unable to sleep so eat. Put 7 pounds back on in three weeks. Hard to get off easy to put on, Hoping after review and further tests Thursday morning can start training again, not even allowed to use my dumbells.

Lying flat apart from toilet/nature calls. Still not started Cognitive Therapy yet, they have such heavy caseloads of poor buggers struggling. Coping well at present, but training helps me, so need to get back soonest.

Best wishes to all dieters, exercisers, fitness improvers or bored readers. May you get what you aspire to

that's rough, pal, so sorry you're going through that. Hopefully, you can get back to working out soon since it seems to help you feel better.

Old age is doing me in. I was doing shoulder presses yesterday (with dumbbells) and during the last rep, I felt a shock of pain on my neck and shoulder blade. I couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. Took some pain meds and iced it. This morning it still hurt like hell. I pride myself on form, so I know I am doing them right, but I did increase the weight yesterday (as I typically do every 2-3 weeks) but I may have pushed it a bit too far. Sucks getting old.

Well, that went well....

Apr 1st - 16st 6

:(

I do 15 miles every day on a Watt Bike mate (due to a knee injury) in under 40 mins and it burns over 1000 calories. Add that to my Ketogenic diet and the weight flew off me. Keep your chin up and lower you carb/sugar intake and drink plenty of water and you’ll be surprised after a month how much you’ll use. I’m 35 and I’ve never felt as good in years.

Problem is fella, while the body feels the age the mind already has confused itself, because it has never grown up past 30 for fellas and lasses at 25, so while the mind is willing the body is weak....er or tires easier or recovery from injuries take longer

I used to a lot of mileage both running, jogging and yomping with a bergan in boots and carrying extra's for many years same as loads on here. Got my current injuries later, just a deterioration in health, as it does and medication for some problems appear to have caused others.

It is what it is, play the hand dealt as you can, but doing any form of training for me quite literally keeps me in a reasonable state of mind, bit edgy at the minute plays with my head. But back to see specialist top dog tomorrow for results of two separate tests of blood and placelets etc.

Get told dates of other tests and appointment s tomorrow so all good. Swelling in legs and joints now going down a bit so good news as pain decreased loads and can move a bit more.

Contact on here helps as well. So onwards and upwards as they say lock and load. See you on the forums fella take care to recover before you push again.:lol::lol::lol:

Pardon the pun but watt’s the difference between one of those and a normal exercise bike?

I’ve put off buying something for indoors because i don’t want it to turn into a fancy clothes horse but with work, kids etc i’m just not getting the chance to get out during daylight.

They’re designed to be the closest thing to cycling in regards to mimic outdoor elements such as air and gravity. Plus the data output it gives you is better, showing you the effect on the body and where your strengths and weaknesses are, so like which leg is providing more peddling power for example. They’re quality like.

Just weighed myself under 13 stone now .
12 stone 11 . Feels like iv broke a milestone now ,although I did eat a small Easter egg during the week .
All down to diet so far . Should be finished lambing in the next week so I can start doing more exercise.
Starting off by playing a scrimmage game of basketball with the club I used play with tonight if there is enough numbers for a game .

Good job! Keep it up and good luck!

Well, did my first walk today since falling ill, feeling good and only minimal swelling right leg left non, back on diet as of today, no more crap.

I tend to comfort eat, need to stay on course for four days to be in control of diet and fitness. At least turned a corner which is positive.

See Specialist on Wednesday, hopefully they will know what the issue has been other than to say a mystery :rolleyes::lol:

Weighed myself today. First day back at the gym since March 12th, with a few big weekends in there and basically Friday-Friday eating and drinking shit.

I managed a couple of decent strolls around penshaw and the beach front with the lads in between but I had prepared myself to have gained. I've lost another 5lbs!

Its either the diet paying off (1.5k calories per day, rarely more) or my metabolism is resetting itself. Granted its still water weight but that's 25lbs off since February 6th.

Fully expecting to plateau around the 20 stone mark as I did last time I dropped weight but so far I've went from 24st 10 to 22 st 13. Aiming for 17 st 7 by January 2021.

Good on you fella, been out a month went up to 11.7 lbs on 31 March over a stone because of illness and unable to exercise.

Just weighed today after first walk and no crap eating down to 11 stone 3 lbs. Happy with that start.

All I need is now to be officially allowed to train from Wednesday, but bugger it going for it anyhow as was getting depressed again.:rolleyes::lol:

I find being active and on a diet plan helps with my mood as well, like. Only time I've felt properly down since starting is when I went off program.

I'm 6'4 and 3/4, BMI is 38.7 (aye, I know!) and my ideal weight is supposedly around 15 stone. I looked well when I was 19st7 when I boxed 18 months ago so I reckon 17st7 will be ideal for me.

I'll never be properly thin I don't reckon. Always been bulky.

It is whatever you want to be. To be honest 11stone 4 lbs is ok for me, but Doctor and I agreed 10 stone 3 to 10 Stone 5 would be good with my medical issues.

The annoying thing is got down to 10 stone 8 or under feeling good then had an issue still being investigated. Doctor, referred me on, his professional opinion a mystery?

But hey we carry on the battle, blood placelets test back Thursday and see lupus specialist Wednesday, brought forward from their delay:(

Thought bugger it started diet Thursday walking today so lost 4 lbs, takes me 4 days to get into it. If I don't, on and off all the time. But been good up until took bad and all exercise stopped.

Anyhow onwards and upwards fella, keep going, if you fail then you just start again. Really it is about how badly do you want it. You set yourself up to fail or succeed. Good luck see you on the forums :lol:
