ah ok, been to both, if you like wildlife both really good. Go to Coll hotel, does best white chocloate and strawberry cheescake ever( if same people are there ) .

Don't think there's much choice! Rang them to make sure the dog could get in and they said three barks and you're out.

lol, aye theres not much there but some nice walks, make sure got petrol as only one station there and charges arm and a leg( you wont need a car much tbh ). Good walk down to west side towards gunna sound ( between coll and tiree ) big lads, whales and sharks and ferries use it as short cut, also get lot of seals there, come out water looking at you as very curious, like 50 skinheads bobbing around in water .
Islay can get busy with whisky tourists , should be quiet at mo though. Plenty of hares and choughs to be seen.

nee good for me then - my lads occaisionally need to stretch their vocal cords.

We really need more hotels run by dog owners who understand the needs of people who are prepared to pay to let their dogs come on holiday with the family

Northumberland for a week from 15th. Staying in a friends empty unfurnished cottage! Not exactly luxury but free and can take camping gear for cooking etc.

Did park foot the other week its a cracking campsite next to pooley bridge, doing lowther next week and somewhere in newquay august bank holiday id still rather be abroad camping is a massive fuck on and even more so when its wet

What all of you folk who live all year for 2 weeks in the sun in some 3rd world country are now going to realise Is this country is class to have little holidays in.
Problem is getting booked up as the demand is massive.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in particular in N Yorks where good holiday lets might be??

We won't be able to go to the place we stay at in South Cumbria just south of Kendal. All booked up the rest of the year.

Thirsk and the surrounding areas are nice too. Wildlife? Want to get up close and personal with a Vuture? The Birds of Prey Center is brilliant. And if you like cheesecakes one cafe in town does the best Raspberry Roulade Cheesecake...ever!

We stayed at a place called Kale Pot Cottage a couple of years ago. Great place just outside of Pickering, they have a week available at the end of September. Near Thornton le dale as well where the classic car auction place is.

Mixed bag gilly.
Some overpriced shit n some lovely bargains.
Some stunning areas, some grim.
Ie like abroad minus the 90% chance of good weather.

This country is class but it's ridiculously expensive and badly equipped for a summer holiday. Weather is very hit and miss n'arl.

Had a look. But booked up or taking the piss with prices.

booked villa in Greece for end of August. Next to beach, overlooking the sea and 5 mins from bars etc
Wouid have been happy to give abroad a miss this year but genuinely couldn’t get excited at anything considering what I could get.

As it happen I can’t wait and wil actually feel safer in Greece with only 4200 cases so far.

still laughing at Whitby a couple of weeks ago. Packed to the rafters everywhere 😀😱

With abroad, its not really about feeling safer but knowing that the government can fuck up your trip at a drop of a hat.
And sometimes it's just about getting away for a change of scenery
