Hopefully with Honeyman coming back, we'll have some legs in the middle with him, if he's played.

It would be nice to see Robson playing in a half decent team that isn't a total bomb scare, he was hoyed right in at the deep end on a few occasions last season. I was there tonight and very impressed with him.
I was at Boro in the cup last season and I thought he was head and shoulders above any of our team that day, another abject display but he was the one ray of light.
He came into a side playing well tonight and he looked quality. Cattermole just looks physically wrecked now, he could of had 3 yellows tonight and was blowing out of his arse.

Very good cameo from the lad. Great to see him back. Few excellent crunching tackles and was composed on the ball. He's no giant but adds a bit of height too.
Thought he looked decent in the Championship. Were it not for the injuries he could easily have staked a claim for first team football as Maja and co have. Here's hoping he can kick on!
This is exactly what I've been saying in the pub, after the game. Boro, in the cup was the time he was the only one fit to wear the shirt and was actually the best player on the pitch in the first half.
I thought we'd be building the side around him.
Apart from 3 superb 50 yard cross field balls you mean ??His first few touches were class, winning the ball and releasing Kimpioka down the left. Showed Catts how to do it, he couldn't pass to a Sunderland man all night.
Yeah I agree. Struggled abit last year but played well against Wolves. Looked good against Stoke u21s too but then could hardly get on bench after that. Don't think we'll see him play a big role for us though. Especially if Leadbitter is true.
Cattermole struggled tonight but more down to system. He's been our best centre mid this year. Doesn't have pace for a 2 though. Didn't last year or the 2 years before in the prem. Not sure why Ross hasnt seen this.
Cattermole was our best centre midfielder earlier in the season but has suffered another injury and looks even slower than he was before.
This league is full of athletes with negligible ability. Someone like Robson coming back could be a God send for us as he's a big lad, who gets about the pitch and can play a bit.
Yep. Admittedly he had a couple of very shakey displays too last season but so could any player in what was a totally disfunctional set up both on and off the pitch. He looks strong, quick and athletic i. e. unlike anything we have in the centre.
Cattermole can spray the ball around, no dispute there, but he's fucked.
10He kicks the ball he kicks it hard
Robson Robson
He used to practise in his yard
Robson! Robson!
He's really good when he is tryin
He is no relative of Bryan
Ethan Robson sunlans number x
I don't know what number he is

Fair point but I think Ross could just go to 3 in midfield. Think Onein, Power, Cattermole holding would be good. Or is Leadbitter signs can't see him being able to play in a 2.
Cattermole would still be really good as a holding midfielder. He gets away with it in this league in a 2 but was obvious last season & the 2 last years in premier that he wasn't physically able to do the job.
Like I said before on Robson, he played well against Stoke, put in the same tackles yet could barely get on the bench after it. Can't see him now coming in.
I really don't like the idea of Cattermole as the lone holding midfielder as when he's turned these days, he's out of the game.
Aye maybe but don't think he'd really get turned if he's playing behind that line. If the defence pushed up too there wouldn't be that much space. Think McGeough would be alot better in that role too
Sunderland vs Manchester City U21 [1]-0, Watmore 22' - StreamableMcGeouch more like. He just loves to pass it to the centre back or goalie. The first thought in his mind is to go backwards.
I'd rather McGeouch. I think Cattermole was great earlier in the season but this latest injury seems to have slowed him down further.
The same words but with a ten at the end not a x
