Only TRAINLINE.com prices are released for cheap fares (quick search shows returns -- no reservations @ 30.50 return (8:25am outbound, 18:21 return) or £31.50 (10.25am out / 20.21 return train)

Quick search on LNER shows Return to Donny from Newcastle shows prices from 58.50

LNER homepage also states tickets upto 27 December out now... I'd keep checking on this over the next week

Tickets for December 29 are available now on LNER website and have been since 10am this morning. Starting at £30 without a railcard.

Not sure how that is, site does say upto Dec 27. Were going by car anyway as stopping over, bu some canny prices out there for folk

There's still a message on Trainline saying LNER haven't confirmed the timetable so might end up overpaying. Could the prices still come down from what is available now? Looking at just over £40 return

LNER confirmed their Timetables and released their Advance Tickets at 10am this morning.
You won’t get any cheaper from now onwards, got ours for £22 return from Durham at 10:05 this morning.
