Dad is out of theatre, op to close his chest went better than expected and they checked all the work they did on Friday and all looks good.

Still not out of the woods by any stretch of the imagination but another small step forward.

Just back from the hospital where me dad and lifelong safc fan has had major open heart surgery.

Everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong and the surgeon and his team have performed miracles to keep him alive.

If anyone some spare prayers or favours owing from those above can they send them me dad's way tonight please

Dad had another stable night, slight concern with his kidney function but apparently to be expected due to how long he was on the heart lung machine.

Back from seeing dad, they are hoping to start dialasis (sp?) Today at some point to help with his kidneys.

Drugs have been reduced slightly so any other tiny tiny step forward.

Thank you all again for your thoughts, words and prayers I know Mam especislly is finding it very comforting

Another stable night for dad, they kept him sedated last night so he could rest, dialysis seems to be working and the swelling is slowly subsiding.

Just back from seeing dad, he's still sedated but it's slowly being reduced. Dialysis going and helping his kidneys.

Still a very long way to go but another small step forward
