Leggings, gloves, base layer, jacket, woolly hat for me. I'm a soft shite when it's freezingTights and leggings for men should only be for arctic conditions, sort it out!
I am itching to get out Les, waiting for my bacon butty to digest.2 runs in 2 days.

Its coming back, trying to catch the breath in the cold air when you start out!

I'd make sure you don't trash your legs for tomorrow's run.I am struggling to get out more than once during the week but can run today and tomorrow.
Is it better to do a shorter/faster run today and a long slow run tomorrow? Or vice versa? Or pig all difference?
Thank you, neither run will be particularly long or intense as I am building up for a month until I restart a 5k plan.I'd make sure you don't trash your legs for tomorrow's run.
I'd just go out and run to feel tbh, just enjoy it.Thank you, neither run will be particularly long or intense as I am building up for a month until I restart a 5k plan.
Don't know if it's been mentioned but I've just picked up a book called science of running from Lidl for £2.99.

Sorry - 71 miles for the week for me back to daily running after my laziness of back end of last year. See how long keep it up this time.Bit of a shit week for me outside of running & not felt great, but managed 50 miles which is a good sign for where I want to go. I notice on the SMB runners club a few new names, 50 mile not good enough for a top 3 spot this week!
Might be too much too soon. As you increase your distance your body will need time to recover. Doing too much too soon might lead to injuries. Took be about 5 or 6 month from being comfortable at 5k to being comfortable at 10k, starting off about this time last year doing park runs by running and walking them.I started running from minimal fitness on 1 Jan, running every other day. Set out to do 3k yesterday but felt good so carried on to do 5! Half way to my goal with 1.5 months to go - realistic to get to 10k before then?
Yeah I will definitely make sure I rest more between runs. I'm not bothered about the time it takes, I just want to be able to complete it without stopping.Might be too much too soon. I'm also inherently a lazy git.
Seafront was heaving yesterday morning, think I'll give it a swerve in future.
