You might want to take a look at that mate. On ‘bouycoutt’ levels that one.Well done Brucey, cemented himself into mag folk law. Unlike the fat clip from Spain who relegated them.

It was late. I knew what I meant. You said
Aside that the above
I had a strip before the cup final dame as those worn in the final with the safc on a diagonalI don't think you could buy Sunderland replica shirts before the 73 final but the sports shop who I can't remember the name of (Willie Watsons?) were selling red and white Sunderland Lookey Likey shirts with old fashioned buttons and collars. I definitely had one in 72 or 73 and may have worn it to the 73 final. I do remember the price though, £1.
There was plenty of hatred against newcastle before 74, some of the most violent fighting at derby games came in the late 60's/early 70's.
The Friday night before the 74 final I was drinking with mates in newcastle and to get home we did our usual trick of stealing a mini and driving back to Sunderland. This time though we chose a mini that was completely decorated in mag scarves, rosettes and little flags, we drove back to Town End Farm and abandoned it still covered in mag crap and with the doors wide open. I often wonder what happened to that car because next day it was gone. (if any police are reading this it is a completely made up story and it never happened, honest)
We’re small time though. Some of them psychopaths man, rent free in their heads.Still visiting us I see. Obsessed
Sums it up that ive been to Sunderland once in 12 months and he's been there last night
Couldn't say that about the Sports Direct Arena though could we?I don't want to get involved in this tit for tat bullshit, but you did have to close what 1/3 of your stadium off because you couldn't fill it and therefore couldn't afford to open it. Let's not rewrite history.
I was 16 and as far as i am concerned i never have and never will want them scruffy twats to win anything.Question for the oldies here...
People often say that SAFC - NUFC rivalry wasn’t as bad in the 50s/60s/early 70s, and I seem to recall Steve Bruce when he was SAFC manager going on about his street in wallsend having red and white flags or something for our 73 final?
If it really wasn’t as bad then, then you can imagine there might have been a sentiment of wanting a fellow NE team to win.
so my question for those old enough to remember ( I was born 74 so only ever remember the hatred from the mid 80s to the present day ) ; what did SAFC fans think about the mags being in the 74 cup final? Was there any black and white flags in Sunderland, or did any Sunderland supporters want the mags to win cos they were another NE team?
Genuinely interested to know this , just occurred to me the other day when I was reading an article about 2 mags in 74 cup final who they reckon started the replica shirt trend for adults
think was also first time a team in stripes had lost an fa cup final. Even more shame.
i think its true mind, completely shamefulCompletely untrue
who were the first ?Completely untrue
6 in a row says it all, we've relegated them, and scuppered their promotion...I never get this feeling some people have?
I have mates who are mags and I really miss derby days as enjoy the banter and piss taking over what is after all.....a game of football.
WBA 1887.who were the first ?
Watched it at home with my Dad and our kid. Oh, how we laughed, and laughed , and laughed. They were totally shite. Hope this helps.
Are these the two
Mags love to rewrite history
Wasn’t Alan hull wearing one in stage for lindesfarne before 74
Where are these Newcastle United fans today?
Two Newcastle United fans at Wembley in 1974 might be the first to have worn replica shirts at a UK match, says studywww.google.co.uk
Couldn't say that about the Sports Direct Arena though could we?
Because it isn't "yours"
Council renting scratters
Oh and fuck off!!
And we're the obsessed ones, of course we are, they've just had a good away win at Leicester and we're the first team he thinks of, if we had a good win they would be the last ones I'd be thinking of,unless the win had a bearing on both our league positions in the same division. We're 2 divisions apart for fucksake.
