small time clubs like Man City and Leicester have won the premier league after being in league one

Probably a fair point, but that's due to years of underachievement, you had a period of around 10 years of competing at the top of the PL and spending big money. That's still fresh in people's minds. Add to this that the regional media are very much pro Newcastle, your egos are continually massaged.

We have been through shite and have little to sing about but we do. Man C had the best average record for attendances in div 1 and well done to them . I said did.

You lot shout at shops and wave cabbages around on sticks cos you near the base of prem. You're massive statement is untrue as you've won fuck all . It's just an inflated ego.

When the going gets tough the mags cry off. Always been the case.

Just started a new job and spent a few days up and around Glasgow this week. When meeting the new team in what is a football mad area naturally conversion gets on to football.. fair to say even Rangers & Celtic supporters even call the mags self entitled, deluded wankers the Gers fans love Defoe anarl!

I don't want to get involved in this tit for tat bullshit, but you did have to close what 1/3 of your stadium off because you couldn't fill it and therefore couldn't afford to open it. Let's not rewrite history.

Aye relegation in 2009 was followed by average crowds of 44k and relegation in 2016 by 52k crowds in the second division.
Relegation for sunlun in mid 00s and 2017 followed by crowds of like 23k.

but aye we are the ones who flee when times are bad.

Not 1 Sunderland fan I know or any posts on here I've seen have went on about winning the Papa John's like it was the fa cup so yet again you're talking shite now let's talk about having to give away 10,000 free season tickets in the premier League now THAT'S small time
