They were always good value. One show I saw them, I think Birmingham Powerhouse, he threw his mic into the crowd for some backing vocals and seemed genuinely surprised when he reeled it back in only to find bare cables on the end. Spent the next 10 minutes having to be "teacher" and saying we're all going to look away and if whoever's taken my mic brings it back, nothing more will be said

Prone to a good cover as well - did a stonking version of Jump by VH one time that I saw them (Magic Bus another time)!
I need to investigate his solo stuff a bit more. I have a lot of it, but I'd lost track of him in the 90s and only really "acquired" it after the dawn of mp3s and shuffle, so I can't say I've listened to a full album - the only one I have physically and have listened to is Live at Life, mainly because it had some Icicle Works stuff on.
