Just checked. It's called Another View and it's a compilation of his Ever Decreasing Circles EPs. Physical release only as far as I can tell.
Wolf Alice is a belter. Looking forward to the new Angelique Kidjo release.

Japanese breakfast and Wolf Alice were my favourites from last week. Both 8/10.
Really like the lead singles from Garbage and Ryan Adams, they’re top of the list for this week.

Garbage have named their album No Gods No Masters which I associate with Amebix. I wonder if they are fans of that genre?

A couple of Garbage’s new songs appeared on my release radar list on Spotify in the last few weeks, thought they sounded pretty decent. Used to like some of their stuff in the 90s.

Ian McNabb has released a new album and although I loved The Icicle Works stuff back in the 1980s his solo stuff and recent releases are rather more patchy in quality. This fucker is a 20 song double album over 1 hour 33 minutes and thus far I haven't been able to gird my loins to listen.
Saw it was a RSD release for this weekend but presumed it was some kind of re-do, like most RSD releases. Didn't realize until @Arkle's list that it was a proper new release - will probably check that out (the RSD release is just a limited color variant of it)
One of my favourite bands. Never really got to grips with his solo stuff.

They were one of my favourite bands in the late 80s. McNabb's first three solo albums were good. Diminishing returns since.
They were always good value. One show I saw them, I think Birmingham Powerhouse, he threw his mic into the crowd for some backing vocals and seemed genuinely surprised when he reeled it back in only to find bare cables on the end. Prone to a good cover as well - did a stonking version of Jump by VH one time that I saw them (Magic Bus another time)!I need to investigate his solo stuff a bit more. I have a lot of it, but I'd lost track of him in the 90s and only really "acquired" it after the dawn of mp3s and shuffle, so I can't say I've listened to a full album - the only one I have physically and have listened to is Live at Life, mainly because it had some Icicle Works stuff on.

One of my friends did that thing he was doing a few years back where if you paid his travel and beer he'd come and play at your house. Said it was cracking value, but that Ian did spend a lot of time trying to hit on his mate's lass!
I am old sucker for the Works though. Stumbled on an old copy of Blind a couple of weeks back and bought it because the US version seems to have a different running order and they swapped a couple of songs out (and different sleeve). Had them all but, you know, rude not to! $5 well spent!

I thought his last effort Our Future In Space was very strong,possibly up there with his best work.The one prior Star Smile Strong had some good moments as well imo.Similar to yourself though the new album has sat on my desk at home here for a few weeks now unplayed.I'm sure I'll get round to it eventually.The couple of tracks I have heard haven't exactly sparked much excitement in me I guess.
He's always making a big deal that no one has ever listened to him since Merseybeast,and then attempts to shrug it off like he doesn't give a shit,ha ha.His self titled album from 2001 and the last one Our Future In Space are well worth investigating though imo..I think he has them all up on Bandcamp now,though not entirely sure..? As a live performer he's still one of the best around mind,and his voice still sounds incredible.
