New Music Releases Thread

Aye the reviews have been really good. I’ve literally never heard a note of theirs simply based on I can’t believe I’d be into anything by the spawn of Tim Healy and Denise Welsh.
Same here only I had no idea there was any Healy/Welch children involved.

New Reverend Horton Heat tomorrow for anyone that’s into a bit of rockabilly/psychobilly . Disappointed with the single which just sounds like a 50s rockabilly/Rock N Roll track, hoping for more psychobilly on the record.

Last day of November tomorrow and the new stuff keeps slowing down. We have albums from: Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO, Bryan Ferry, Daniel Romano, Earl Sweatshirt, Foxwarren, Jeff Tweedy, Meek Mill, The 1975, Alessia Cara and Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam,
Will be giving Ex:Re (Elena for Daughters solo stuff) a spin

Funny auld year in that I’ve seen more new bands than ever this year but listened to very little new albums as of the bands I’ve seen most are nowhere near first album time yet. Anyway:

New Albums:
Arctic Monkeys - tranquility base hotel casino. (First one of theres I’ve liked)
Rolling Blackouts - hope downs. (Seen em twice. If you liked the GoBetweens........etc)
Neon Waltz- strange hymns. (Psychedelic Furs crossed with Love)
Spiritualised- can’t remember the title ffs.
Father John Misty- can’t remember that one either.

New Bands:
Rolling Blackouts
Neon Waltz
When Young
The Night Cafe
Declan Welsh and The Decadent West
Yowl
(Yowl are easily the best of that lot)

Did they support Still Corners ? How was the night ?

They did. And I actually preferred them to the main act. Not as good songs but didn't think they had a better presence. In fact whilst I like smaller intimate gigs I think SC would suit larger places, as they could make more of the visuals/lighting that accompanies their music. Still good mind. Added bonus was being up close to the singer, hadn't realised how beautiful she is (in the flesh).

Edit: Oh, and they had hazlenut and vanilla stout on tap as well
