just been through to the train station and they were shutting roads off and putting loads of 'don't park here or your car will get towed' signs out.
the railway arches looked impressive like.
Ah right, cheers. From Yates (or what used to be) to the crossroadsNorth Road is the one that all them on here twist about with the bus station on.
Does raise a point though.

Bridge is closed from 9pm until 6am tomorrow morning if anyone is venturing through Durham tonight for any reason. Then down to one lane eastbound (?) for three days.just been through to the train station and they were shutting roads off and putting loads of 'don't park here or your car will get towed' signs out.

No man.
The Miners' Hall, right through the heyday of mining unionism in County Durham.
Fantastic building.
They've got some interesting fund raising stuff going on at the minute to restore its interior to its early 19th Century pomp.
Must be near where i've mentioned, was trying to give him somewhere he'd recognise.
TBH i don't know the building you mean, mind i was only a bairn when i left durham and only been back a year, not been through durham that often.
Bit ashamed i don't know where you mean, will look forward to educating myself tomorrow
It's a hidden gem of Durham mate. There are loads to them, to be fair.
People have moaned earlier in the thread that they can't do the whole thing in an hour after a burger. I think Lumiere is doing a great job of putting great art on and making it physically engage with the City it's in.
Even if you do have to get away to Taybarns afterwards.
Thinking of just having an hour 5ish, with the kids Friday night. If I went without tickets n dump car near Houghall college sports bit what route would yers recommend to see a few things for an hour? Walk to marketplace then inland on river a mile n back? (don't know Durham that well).
Cheers.
You won't bee able to get to the market place without tickets at 5.
