Low emissions zones are ok in principle but when you can drive a massive 4.8 litre V8 turbo Porsche SUV for free and get charged £12.50 for using a Golf diesel then the whole thing is fucked.

Not really, when the petrol Porsche is relatively clean and the diesel banger is pumping out black clouds.

I noticed a lot of the buses running around Central London the other weekend were electric or hybrid. Weird hearing them whirring past rather than belching out clouds of black shit, but a change for the better.

Right so they are slowly being phased out and new hybrid buses which do meet the standards. Which is kind of the point of the whole project really. They don't want no cars or vehicles in London. Simply to improve the horrendous air quality.

So only allow vehicles which meet the standards into the zone. Non-compliant ones are banned.

The whole point of this ULEZ is to force change. We can't continue with the status quo.
