If we scored that and it was disallowed we'd go nuts.Seems we’re in the minority here. I don’t think he’s getting it even without a challenge

Was referring to your actual post you loonYou must be joking. If you think Patto would of collected that cross
Any word in particular?Nee bother, a look in the dictionary might help you out.
He missed the ball before the interaction
Weak
I hoyed this up yesterday that shows contact is in the frame before the ball is above them. The ball is passing at hand height so at the least Patterson is getting his left fingertips to the ball but the attacker's right arm stops this.Seems we’re in the minority here. I don’t think he’s getting it even without a challenge
He wasn’t trying to, was at full stretch to get anything on it which is why it’s also harsh to state he should have punched it.You must be joking. If you think Patto would of collected that cross
It stood because their player fouled Patterson but the ref didn't spot it. They only get one look at it in real time and from one angle, sometimes their eyes might be looking (even just for a fraction of a second) at something else. It's hardly surprising with the amount of pulling and shoving going in when crosses are coming in
Ehh 50-50.
Patto came charging in for it from the side. The attacker was almost stationary. Yeah he raised his arm in a weird way but considering Patto barged into HIM I think it would have been harsh to give a foul our way.
Patto ran into the striker in my opinion, he was up straight committed for the header, and he clattered into him. How can that be a foul?

The previous angle gif is also misleading and probably fooled some as the attacker is moving but away from the camera. It doesn't show both the players going towards the ball like this angle. This is a shitty gif but you can see the attacker is also moving sideways and they collide mid air and both end up spinning legs up. The huge difference is, only 1 player should have his arms up that long.Patto was now at near the ball
We’d moan that keepers are over protected perhaps but most would accept that keeper is usually given the benefit of doubt. If we scored that and it was disallowed we'd go nuts.

This isn't great footage and the gif even shittier but you can still see the ball's path and fill in the gaps. Patterson's hands is the highest hand in the left side of the image with the attacker's sticking out at an angle. The right side of the image shows the same thing but the ball is right on them. If the attacker hadn't stopped the movement of Patterson's left arm then he's at least getting his left fingertips on the ball. That then changes the balls path and it wouldn't end up bouncing of Hjelde's head to their attacker.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that given as a penalty. Patto is clearly after the ball and looking away from the player. The attacker has every right to challenge but his arm is full stretch above him and hits Pattos arm. It’s certainly not a natural position and stops Patto from making contact. I’m amazed anyone thinks it’s not a foul. That angle makes it pretty clear that Patto ran and jumped into the attacker, not the other way around. If they hadn't scored from it, it probably would have been a penalty.
I should also add hjelde is poor there turning his back into the attacker rather than actually trying to challenge for the header
I'm not saying Patterson didn't jump into the challenge, I'm pointing out that what you said, which was "The attacker was almost stationary" isn't quite factual. The attacker is also jumping into the challenge at an angle and wasn't stationary jumping directly upwards. If there was a camera angle from the sidelines then you'd see more of just how far the attacker was moving forward as he jumped. That angle makes it pretty clear that Patto ran and jumped into the attacker, not the other way around. If they hadn't scored from it, it probably would have been a penalty.
My mistakeWas referring to your actual post you loon

I didn’t state he should have punched it. Bad decision making by himHe wasn’t trying to, was at full stretch to get anything on it which is why it’s also harsh to state he should have punched it.
Just seemed very half hearted and if anything pushes the forward into the keeperHe'd have probs nodded it in for an own goal had he attempted to head it mate.
People desperate for it to be foul
He simply has to be stronger coming out than that, the people screaming foul are going soft, a good goalkeeper takes the lot out there
It continues to cost us goals , Leeds, Hull, Sheff Wed yesterday
The smart teams will continue to target him on it make no mistake
Other people have suggested he should have punched it. Possibly not the best decision making but still a foul imo.My mistake

Yep, the minority of idiotsSeems we’re in the minority here. I don’t think he’s getting it even without a challenge
So Patterson should have shoved his hand into the forwards upper body, flattened him and given away a penalty. That’s clever. It was probably a foul... but still weak as piss from Patto.
