Well tough shit if you don't like my views. The league table doesn't lie. Woop he out Davies in for 1 game at the end of the season. You're tirade against Richardson is tedious as well. If you don't like what I post, put me on block, simple. 3 cheers for our coach..... Woop woop woop

So none of the batsmen are delivering under a head coach who's been in post for 5 years. So Mr Lewis hasn't got to take any responsibility for that?
 
God thats utterly abject. Bancroft is gonna need to score 2,000 next year for them to have half a chance of being competitive.

Desperate for a half decent keeper batsman too. They have three that simply aren’t good enough.

Difficult really to judge Davies at present. Richardson needs to improve, starts well then gets out, though is one of only a few with a county 100 this season. More than useful in the one day stuff. Poynter I'm not sure about, yes he scored well vs Derbyshire ironically alongside Richardson but bigger question marks over him.

Early days Davies hasnt looked great when he has been involved & Kent didn’t deem him to be good enough.

Richardson is a far far worse player than he was 6 seasons ago, no idea why. He should have gone on from then to be Durhams best ever keeper batsman imo but he’s turned out woeful. He’s a walking wicket most the time and his showing in limited overs cricket doesn’t impress me either. Infact when he was at his best years ago, he was never ever playing T20 or 50 over cricket. Maybe the focus on more slogging & scoring quicker runs has ballsed his overall technique up.

Poynter was 3rd choice keeper 3 seasons ago now he’s in the team for all formats. Speaks volumes.
 
The decision to play Richardson as a specialist batsmen has not worked. He doesn't even score as many runs as he did as an all roundern. Who ever is calling the shots next season needs to sort this wicket keeper position out. For me Richardson keeps wicket and bats at 6 or 7.

I don’t mention Richardson anywhere near as much as you mention Lewis. Nor do I criticise Richardson for things he has no control over. There’s no tirade at all against him, I just don’t feel he should still be earning a wage at Durham.

Might take your advice actually, you’re probably one of the worst posters on here nowadays. Mind, you’ll probably blame Jon Lewis for that too.

2015 averages
2018 averages

2015 6 players averaging 30+ (excluding Wood who only played 1 game) - Gordon Muchall averaged 36 and scored 693 runs. That's Gordon Muchall who was let go to provide space in the squad for young'uns
2018 0 players averaging 30+ (excluding 3 who played less than 5 games, Latham played 4 and averaged 45) - highest run getter was Steel who scored 638 runs.

As an aside, it's crap only playing 14 games.
 
God them averages are shocking when you see them.

Didnt actually realise how bad Clark, Smith, Richardson & even Collingwood have been.


Theres literally no one suitable to take over the captaincy!

Richardson tops the averages in the one day cup. He hasn't kicked on in the red ball game with the bat but who has? That needs to be addressed big time and Lewis isn't the man for that. Maybe Marcus North can help out a bit??? Poynter I'm just not convinced with at all. Lots to work on over the winter, I just hope Marcus North gets stuck in and isn't a yes man/puppet

Marcus North isn't a coach. He's an administrator.

Poynter had a very good T20.
