Are Forest a big club

Why don't you explain why you got less fans at the home game Vs WBA than against Shrewsbury??

Maybe your fans thought you'd have a good run in the non existent Carling Cup? 🤣🤣🤣

WBA didn't sellout. Didn't sell any of the lower tier.
Sunderland is a post industrial wasteland that has seen very little investment from successive governments. Leeds has had money thrown at it. There’s only so much money that the majority of our fans can justify spending on football as I’d hazard a guess we have a lot more fans who live on the breadline. An extra £30 on top of a season ticket payment isn’t as easy to justify when it’s an early round cup game against the mighty Crewe as we languished in the football doldrums (still getting 30-35k fans for league games).
Folks dont seem to care about the League Cup, it was the same in 2014 when we reached the final. The QF against Chelsea the gate was 21k. Average gate for league matches was 41k that season. Its a midweek reserve cup in practice. The FA Cup however they interrupt the league for the rounds.

Thanks for the explanations.

Explain why you got 10k v crewe and Leeds got 35k v Shrewsbury in the same competition. Leeds prices were cheaper too.
Me I can give you a win!

If you can give a coherent reason, as obviously the metropolis of Leeds (which surrealy was where my Mother in law honeymooned)
Maybe Leeds midweek is more exciting than Sundeland....tongue in cheek

He is a man desperate to find facts to endorse his imagination .Here is one for him Sunderland reserves v Liverpool reserves 2000 AD Attendance 33,513

Good crowd that.

Leeds took around 150,000 to London for the Wembley playoff final v Doncaster in 2008.

We can all do stats.

Have a good day all.

I have been to Elland Rd 3 times, been in NZ since 1995, have you ever been to Roker or SOl

Kind of, but nowhere near the size of Leeds United.

Of course it matters when they are won. Sunderland won their titles decades ago when it was much easier to win league titles. Sunderland have done diddly squat in the many decades that have followed and are a big club only in their minds.
 That rules out any trophies won by your thugs!

You do realise that in any era, a team can only beat whatever opposition that faces them. In 2060 will people rule out what Man City have won?

Loathe these big club threads.But.
big club imo, big history, bigger club than us going off achievements and more recent trophies.
Possibly only a few uk teams can match or better their achievements in europe.

I wasn't having a dig.

Sunderland do have a good support when you consider the catchment area.

If I were a Sunderland fan I'd be more concerned with how Newcastles success is going to affect your fanbase in the coming years.

Newcastle are 10 miles ish away, their success will have an effect. You could argue if they were 40 miles away nothing would change but the fact they are so close will affect your numbers in time.

I am concerned about how they will affect the future, of the club, its part of the reason why i want sunderland back in the premer league as quick as possible.
