Are Forest a big club

The six time champions of England are well and truly in that crowd mate. The Mags and Spurs can only muster the same number between them.
I wouldn't have put the mags in with them either.

Spurs, villa and Everton are all bigger clubs than both Sunderland and Newcastle.

Spurs may have only won two league titles, but they have won many other trophies. As much as I'm proud of Sunderland's 6 league titles, 5 were before WW1. They don't put us alongside those clubs imo unfortunately.

Doesnt matter when they were won. Them league titles are in the cabinet. I see the argument quite a bit that our trophies were won years ago. When is the cut off for when the trophies were won making them worthless begin?

And for me those league titles carry more weight than FA Cups and Carling Cups where you need to win maybes six games tops while beating a lot of shite along the way.

Kind of, but nowhere near the size of Leeds United.

Of course it matters when they are won. Sunderland won their titles decades ago when it was much easier to win league titles. Sunderland have done diddly squat in the many decades that have followed and are a big club only in their minds.

You want to look a lot closer to home when it comes to being a big club in their own fans minds fella.

I agree with everything you say but history is history. Does not matter if it happened yesterday or 60 years ago. History defines you.

Funny thing is, most neutrals would agree Leeds are bigger than Sunderland.

Leeds have a huge catchment area whereas Sunderland have a small catchment area relatively speaking.

Anyway we are going off topic.

What’s your record attendance ?

How many times you won the league ?

What’s your average crowd last season ?

No question Sunderland have a good support for such a small catchment area, but Sunderland as a club are limited on how big they could be because of the catchment area, which is, infact, quite small.

Perception is reality to many people. The majority of people in the country wouldn't put Sunderland anywhere near those clubs.
If your logic was correct, Preston would be a bigger club than forest and Sheff Wed & Huddersfield would be bigger than Spurs. No one has ever argued that to my knowledge (maybe they do on those club's forums).

And yet still have always had historically smaller crowds
