DNECL 2022


Couple of important few weeks coming up for Hunwick. We've lost a few strong players since the start of the season - not to other clubs - just stopped playing entirely.

Good to get a win against Murton on Sunday but the next few games will be important.

You play for the firsts? Think I'm playing quaint your seconds in next couple weeks. Don't suppose they're any weaker from the start of the season? :lol:

Played a handful of times this season but I'm normally in the 2nd team to be fair. Other than some lads stopping playing our biggest issue is getting a consistent team out to be honest. Best teams always have the same 11 out regularly.

I think that's the case for most teams mate. We are playing your seconds next week so give me a shout if you're playing

Is it to do with less teams in the league? If so could they not just have everyone play everyone twice as normal then in early august when the league is done have a mini round robin cup just to keep more fixtures going until the start of September?

I think there was actually a mini round robin planned for those teams who had no games earlier in the season which would have helped at least bring some funds into clubs but the idea was scrapped (not sure why) and teams were told just to arrange friendlies if they wanted to play.

Mainsforth, Boldon CA & Tudhoe. Fighting for top two.

Bill Quay, Hunwick & Langely Park at bottom.

Div 3
Beamish & Horden

Easington recently improvements have dragged Silksworth, Boldon and few others into the relegation mix.

Div 4
Seaham Harbour, Tudhoe and Burnhope at top.

Coundon rock bottom, with Esh Winning & Simonside just above.

Div 5
Mainsforth, Kimblesworth and Brandon fighting it out at top.

Peterlee, Dawdon & Ushaw Moor all within a few points at the bottom.

Div 6
Wearmouth, Beamish, Langely Park & Belmont fighting for top two places.

Horden & Silksworth fighting it out for the wooden spoon.

Apparently, Brandon don’t have club mark and there won’t be any playoff this season it’ll just be the NTCL winners that go up to the NEPL is what I heard. Anyone heard anything to confirm?
