Our gaffer told us on Friday 20 lads had been sacked. One was from paint shop with 14 years service and a mint grafter. They took the piss and now they are paying the price. Also rumour another 30 lads waiting to go upstairs.

It’s the truth and the figure is more I know lads who where meeting up when tested positive and putting phones together and giving each other’s number when they haven’t even seen each other whole thing is a farce

yep, it's easy to get your own self isolation message on the app, just tell the app you have symptoms and it tells you to isolate for 11 days, no need for screenshots.
Not defending the gaffers but requiring a screenshot to be sent was always going to be gamed by people.
Luckily i kept screens of all my isolation messages and the test results text messages.

They should be like my place and not recognize Covid as a separate issue. If you get pinged and have to self isolate then you're at the start of the disciplinary slide. It's a bit unlucky for people already on warnings as they will get another one when they come back. I suppose it's a deterrent to stop people taking the piss though.
