The media decide what is news or "a story". That doesn't mean that a consensus of opinion think it's news or " a story".Im sure he will be yes. But I’m still struggling with what the media have done. Like it or not, it’s a story. The suspending him is a story. The PM backing him is a story. That’s not the media creating news, that’s actually news.
the articles I have read on it have actually been supportive about how he performed on day 2 onwards, strength and that. I don’t think I’ve seen a story where he is has been castigated
Oh come on.The media decide what is news or "a story". That doesn't mean that a consensus of opinion think it's news or " a story".
I think Overton might be an unfortunate casualty when selection is made.a) He apologised
b) The idiocy of this when they'll bring in Overton for him (Who actually did a worse thing)
News is information that is regarded as of importance or of interest. That's obviously subjective. I find Robinsongate incredibly boring, others think it's relevant and important i.e. newsworthy.Oh come on.
He made a statement to the press - that’s news
The ECB suspended him - that’s definitely news
The PM commented - thats definitely news
He’s been harshly treated, but I haven’t seen one article castigating him. The media have reported the above, I really don’t see how they could have ignored any of that
And yet you’re talking about it.I think Overton might be an unfortunate casualty when selection is made.

I'm talking about the media getting their priorities right and Robinson getting a wholly disproportionate amount of coverage. It'll all be adverse publicity to him, intentional or not.And yet you’re talking about it.
Regardless, no one has produced me a single article or video showing the media trying to “ruin” him. It’s generally been pretty supportive from what I’ve read
Blame the PM for wading in thenI'm talking about the media getting their priorities right and Robinson getting a wholly disproportionate amount of coverage. It'll all be adverse publicity to him, intentional or not.
Carberry going off it on sky sport, speaking sense to be honest
And yet you’re talking about it.

I didn’t see it.I disagree completely. I thought his interview was counterproductive. "What education" was his argument as if people don't grow up at any point in life. 10 years ago racism and sexist jokes were dark humour, now it's completely unacceptable (rightly so). He's became an adult in those 10 years. Is that not education enough?
Carberry cannot tell anyone he knows as much now as he did when he was 18.
interviews like the one Carberry give wasn't very supportive. I realise they've got to give both sides of the story but it's not helpful at all.
Read back from the other day, various media outlets every other hour tweeting about it........ Needless with a clear agenda of attempting to ruin the lad.
I've got sky sports news on at the moment and they're making a massive deal over it. Utterly embarrassing
He wouldn't have "waded in" had the media not been rabbiting on for 5 days.Blame the PM for wading in then
He waded in because the ECB suspended him.He wouldn't have "waded in" had the media not been rabbiting on for 5 days.

this is a massive load of bollocks ........unless 10 yers ago you were a massive racist sexist arseholeI disagree completely. I thought his interview was counterproductive.
