Had a transporter remapped from 84bhp to 125bhp. Best thing I did. It was hopeless without it. Can't see how it would wear the engine out quicker when the same engine is spec'd from 84bhp to 140bhp by vw.

I live in a cul-de-sac of 3 houses and the “shared driveway” (street) is our responsibility jointly to maintain.
My next door neighbour dug out the street 4 times on Tuesday, even though everybody was at home and the snow was covering it faster than he could dig it out. On Tuesday night my wife put in our WhatsApp group for him to to bother yesterday because none of us were going anywhere and it was forecast for snow all day. He was still out at 8 clearing it and it covered over and was over an inch thick again by about 10. I text at lunchtime to say that the snow was forecast to stop and I would pop out when I finished work at about 4:30 to start digging. Within half an hour he was back out again, digging. And surprise surprise it covered over again.
We went out at 4:15, 4 of us dug it out for an hour, and gritted the street. We’ve had zero snowfall overnight and he’s been out again for the last 45mins.
He’s meant to be have been working from home since last March (as have I) but for most of the summer he was interfering with the gardeners they had in to landscape their garden for several hours every day, and since Monday he must have been out 3 hours a day shovelling snow.

On the basis that I like to look after my garden, take my and the neighbours bins out/in, play golf (and clean the club's / trolley outside in full view of the rest of the street), clear snow and have a car capable of '0-60 in 5 seconds' ( Seat Cupra ST that is washed and waxed regularly for the other car bores) I must be a prize sad bastard neighbour.
