That is fair enough. I will be aiming for 1000 but I am a boring git anywayI hope not cos that means it'll be another of doing nowt else
I think even just not going to match frees up loads of time as I can go out on a Saturday now at my leisure. That is fair enough. I will be aiming for 1000 but I am a boring git anyway
Class effort. I'm hoping to get 500 done next year but need my back sorting first. Hopefully just a couple more physio sessions. On course for over 850 miles this year which is about 200 miles up on what I normally do. So at least one good thing has come out of having nowt to do all year .
1,904.8 miles so far this year which is almost double last year. About half of that was during 1st lockdown though when I averaged 300 miles a month.
7.94 miles a day needed to get to 2000 miles for the year. Helps that I haven't had more than just a few niggles that I could carry by dropping the pace & very few races.
I thought I might get to 2000 but I’m well short , on 1816. Think I’ll finish around 1875...not a bad knock, 800 more than last year!68 Miles to go. 7.6 Miles a day.
Tried to find a segment I could steal. I was a sprinter at school so liked the look of Roker promenade which is basically the straight bit in front of the cafe.
2nd & 3rd place efforts this morning , 2 seconds off the leader. Going to try and get better at sprinting amongst broader training, have enjoyed adding intervals recently.
Average run of 4 mile a day... Great effort...1458 miles running
4426 miles cycling
25 miles swimming
My holy grail of endurance was that I wanted to run a marathon and swim the English Channel in the same day.. It's never been done... And now at the age of 59 it won't be me... Someone will do one day... Happy Xmas and a great running new year ..1458 miles running

No real advice but I do the same as well tends to be later on in the run for me, my nose runs quite a bit as well, just think its being in the outdoors for once hasnt bothered me really.Any advice on how to stop spitting and feeling like I'm going hock my insides up when running. Seems worse for the first hour and then eases off.
Only just started to do this over the last 3 months or so, was fine before.

Good effort mate. That is what u was aiming for but didn't get there.Just over 500 miles for the year for me in my first year of running. Still a few days left to add to it.
Fell ower last night on a run down the river, full of clarts and a bloody knee.
Luckily no injuries though.
Steadily building my mileage up, was hoping to hit steady 10 mile runs by the end of the year, on just over 8 at the moment. But considering I couldn't run a bath this time last year I'm impressed with myself
Going to bump this again now people are posting their annual achievements. Any suggestions? Not run properly in years but started again and done a dozen or so park runs before lockdown.
Now looking at interesting half marathons to do, so looking for suggestions. Antrim looks scenic, anyone done that or recommend any others abroad?
Obviously will all depend on travel restrictions and events going ahead.
