Just my opinion but I still feel and the most prominent of these because of the 2 very serious injuries he sustained during his time here, John Egan, could have been given an extra year or 18 months or so to develop. They weren't ever given the opportunities to prove consistently whether they were good enough or not. It's a case of the club being in constant, stay up, bring fresh legs in, start well, drop off, repeat cycle that we had for so long. Egan and Hourihane are probably the 2 most highlighted cases due to where they are now. To take one, just for example, Waghorn was given his debut under Keane. Yes, he was maybe a bit rough around the edges but could he have improved significantly with game time? His career suggest so.
Yep, I see he has signed that pro contract with Ludogorets. Good luck to the lad, he seemed a nice kid.
