The Male Menopause

Exercise, lifting heavy weights and a good diet is the key. This helps keep your testosterone levels up while keeping the oestrogen levels at bay..

Can relate to that, was into the sheen and pump, did a few compos, shacked up with Miss Aberdeen for a couple of years.
Ex Mrs not so pleased like?

is It that easy?
No, marra it can be hard at times. I really like training but you do need to be really dedicated. I give myself a cheat day (Saturday) surprise surprise where I can eat, drink and hopefully watch the match without thinking about doing some exercise..

I prefer the expression midlife crisis. Men don't menstruate (well not many of them).
From Wiki.
A midlife crisis is a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle-aged individuals, typically 45 to 55 years old.[1][2][3] The phenomenon is described as a psychological crisis brought about by events that highlight a person's growing age, inevitable mortality, and possibly lack of accomplishments in life. This may produce feelings of intense depression, remorse, and high levels of anxiety, or the desire to achieve youthfulness or make drastic changes to their current lifestyle or feel the wish to change past decisions and events.

What is classed as heavy?
That depends on what you can lift marra. Start off with no more than 10 reps to start with going down to 4 reps while adding the weight. I do a split 4 day training routine. Working each body part. The off day I hit the boxing bag and skip.

Hello Everyone,

Ive been thinking quite a lot lately about the Male menopause and the horrible side effects that go with it.Lads at work and friends of a certain age all suffer from the same types of issues in one form or another which I personally put down to the dramatic fall in testosterone in their bodies.

Symptoms are;

Weight gain.
Poor sleep pattern.
Moobs.
Depression of some degree or another.
Distinct lack of sex drive.
Lazy.

and a general downward spiral from mid 40;s onwards.Obvs there is other factors at play for the above but the male menopause is a real thing thats brushed under the carry for some silly reason.

Personally this hasn't happened to me yet as I use exercise and lifting heavy weights to keep this at bay, both now and in the future. Its a subject women grab all the headlines on but I think it should be spoke about more in society and amongst men in general.

Im interested in peoples experiences/treatments etc on this matter.
Other than getting old and your body falling to bits there's no such thing .

Sounds like an obsession, at least you won’t be one of those big arms, gut and skinny legs. 👍
