Good way to get your paying customers annoyed.
Thing is those that have paid will still pay next season, they'll just go regardless. But its giving people who can't afford it a chance, and they may carry on if they enjoy it.
Those who have decided to give Ashley no more money can still go if they miss it that much.
Even people who might only make it to a handful of matches per season might as well get this offer as it means they will get in for free for the remaining games.

Bruce hinted to it after the game yesterday, it's been low 40s all season and the includes season tickets sold, in reality its definitely sub 40s more like mid to lower 30s. The home form is decent though it looks like it's made no difference to attendance what so ever. Fair play to those staying away for whatever reasons.

It has been lower than the Attendance quoted but not near low 30K, would guess 40K at lowest.....

Why would they be annoyed, they don’t have to recommend a friend if they don’t want to. Pretty simple..... if you are a fan who is going and want to help out a pal you can.... choice is in your hands

Nobody is laughing at either of us (except each other) as no one give a flying F about the coal fields of the North East.... only there are around 4x more Newcastle fans globally so more are laughing at us

Because not everybody is going to be helping out a mate, and out of all those who have paid £700, 10,000 people are being given a ticket for nowt. Quite a lot will be thinking why not just discount mine by 50% next year as recognition for my loyalty.

That's a fair point really, it's essentially what I said further up and a mag I know said that he won't contribute to someone getting a freebie when he pays out season after season etc a discount for their next couple would make sense really to balance it out
 
10,000 Free season cards man :lol: after all the shite they gave us, not to mention they're actually doing very well for their standards. Embarrassing.
 
This Ties in with that other thread "toxic" if you piss and moan protest and all that other shyte, the chairman do listen.. He is now forced to do something (something a bit shyte for me, pissing off more people than he will make happy)
I don't have a season ticket but my mate asked if I want him to recommend me,, nope. I go to occasional games of my choosing, usually the games when we play my mates teams, most of them don't have season tickets so they sit in the home end with me.

I don't find the tag of "free tickets" embarrassing, I never understood why it was embarrassing for you lot too. You weren't the first to give free tickets away and we wont be the last. I like the idea (aside from ours right now) all them younguns who would normally never get to see the teams live, get a chance for free,, make some memories and fall in love with your local team.. Whats not to like!
