What if the ST holders not attending at the moment decide to go? Surely if they're giving away 10,000 tickets they'll not all get in?

It’s the matchday tickets , and it’s not 10,000 being given away, more like 7,000, I’ve no opinion of it , things are decent on the pitch , that’s all I give a shite about,

You know how it works man.

SAFC give a few freebies away = shit fans.
NUFC give 10'000 away = it's a prurtest.

Can someone put me right on this even the Sunderland have started to believe that lot up the road that the club gave away all these free tickets.
Yes there were a lot of freebie corporate tickets knocking about when we were in the Premiership but any company who had a box or sponsored the club would expect that. The free ticket thing the mags picked up on was the kids for a fiver scheme. Adults bought a ticket for a tenner and you received a kids ticket for a fiver. So really it was 15 quid for an adult and child iirc. The idiots up the road, read that as there were thousands of kids free tickets. Sure there must have been free tickets knocking about, players, ex-players etc but don't a lot of clubs do that. This free ticket thing the scum perpetuate is a load of bollocks - isn't it ?

Don't be so sure mate there is only one person who is due to lose money if we keep failing and that's SD.

I can see him going if we don't win at the weekend, this money invested by FPP has been earmarked to increase the value of the club and if it doesn't SD loses everything.
Well I hope I'm wrong and your correct

Some lad explained it much clearer on not606 about how SD had actually overpaid for the club and he is down to lose a lot of money if we don't go up and the Americans take control of Madrox.

CM must have just huffed off as he only gets a % of Madrox so he's probably now thinking hes wasted his time and won't get a penny since we didn't go straight back up last season.

Tickets were given to schools in North Tyneside and I'd personally had a stepbairn come back home with a letter offering them during the mid-naughties.

Having said that, I'm having difficulty in remembering what specific season that was, as they were yo-yoing at the time they would have been at Primary school.

Dunno if Newcastle's offer is due to a boycott, people being disillusioned with football in general, or folk being skint.

To a Sunderland game or Newcastle?

I'm from Tyneside can't remember any free Sunderland tickets in school mind. Would have took one if so as I was only 1 or 3 Sunderland fans in my School

It was that long ago, I can't remember specifics, could've been the club being charitable and inclusive. It was definitely a one-off as well.

To be balanced, I've never experienced a time where getting tickets has been especially difficult, other than right before the ground was extended. The whole 'Geordies live and breathe their football' thing is utter bollocks. Most people would rather spend £30 or whatever on something else.

Good idea i think.

haha just think if we had 48000 fans the bottle jobs on the pitch wouldn't come out from the tunnel.
