Watch the Córdina fight. That kid is sharpCrazy body shot in the Allen fight mind. Can't believe that was the finish.
If that is in the balls he keeps them in a strange place, more the thigh than anything.
I think its fair to say the glove hit the cup, and when you hit the cup that hard, its going to hurt.If that is in the balls he keeps them in a strange place, more the thigh than anything.
I really think people miss the point by just blaming his chin. His defensive work is shocking, most fighters taking the clean shots he gets hit with would struggle to stay up. His chin has become more of an issue, but it's his terrible guard and defensive attitude that does for him IMO.Glass chin. Every time he gets tagged he's down.
Totally agree.Even if he had a good chin his career wouldn't have turned out much differently with the obvious exception of the Prescott fight IMO. As much as some people think he'd have been some pound-for-pound great if he'd had a better chin he's always had some major technical flaws that make him really vulnerable to a good counter-puncher, even before the knockdowns/knockouts he was getting timed by Canelo and Garcia and probably would have ended in a similar fashion against Crawford if not for the low blow.

Totally agree.
tbf, the ref was pushing him to go - "you good, you good, you good". At no point did he say, "Amir, take a seat, you have 5 minutes to recover".Just seen the highlights.
Why not take the 5 mins break and then decide?
Seemed all very strange.
Tbf Khan's been in the game long enough to know he can take time to put himself right, plus himself and his corner will know the governing bodies rules for the fight, he wanted out and did it..tbf, the ref was pushing him to go - "you good, you good, you good". At no point did he say, "Amir, take a seat, you have 5 minutes to recover".
I thought the ref asked him if he needed a break. Surely he knows the rules?tbf, the ref was pushing him to go - "you good, you good, you good". At no point did he say, "Amir, take a seat, you have 5 minutes to recover".
Good retort there. He was a fantastic boxer but his latter years have been a farce. 5 losses and 4 by way of knockout. Sad to see him los his hand speed. You can't deny he's susceptible to a punch.
It doesn't detract from his ability as a boxer. Especially as he's fought in so many divisions
The jab he got countered over for the knockdown was shockingly shit.Same.
His chin was decent (until last night). He's taken some absolute monsters (including last night), and either walked through, or got up again. Not many people can take the shots he's taken.
The problem is how he allows his chin to be tagged.
Last night he was overstretching all the time, totally off balance - just waiting to be sparked.
He's been in with some unbelievable boxers. And beaten them. As you said he keeps getting clipped and as tough as he is he struggles to get up from them. Which is fine. Doesn't make him a bad boxer. He doesn't have a glass jaw though. It's more other factors that make him so suspeciptible to being sparked. Hasn't got a great chin but he's been in with some massive punchers.
Yep, that was first time I thought "yep, Kahn is finished". His punch resistance is gone, his legs are gone and he can't learn a new style. The jab he got countered over for the knockdown was shockingly shit.
Really looking forward to Rungvisai vs Estrada next week but other than that there really isn't a lot to get excited about at all. Canelo vs Jacobs is a really good fight on merit but even then you know that Jacobs has no chance of winning a decision against him.
