A few times when I have been away for a while I have been told I look just like the locals because of the colour my tan goes, has happened in Egypt,Bosnia and turkey, must say when I have a tan the colour is always nice

Hardly a compliment but last year or the year before, can't remember, I was walking by the beach in Seaburn when two lasses passed me. About two seconds later but in clear ear-sight (is that a word ?) one of them said 'Who the fuck wears lime shorts ?!'.

I do though frequently get complimented on smoking the pipe and the scent of my baccy when in the NE. Especially when I sit on the pilot bench by the beach at Seaburn and folks walk by. Apparently it brings back 'daddy and grandaddy memories' for people.
