Getting complimented on your dress sense when abroad



In Afghanistan years back my Doc Martens almost always became a topic of discussion with the locals. I lost count of how many times I had to take one off so they could check them out. They were well impressed with them. Only other time was when I was wearing a pair of Puma trainers in Morocco, my mates son told me they were cool, the implication being he was asking me to part with them. :)

Never had comments as such but the way ladies swoon when I enter a room in my best clobber tells me all I need to know....either that or the Mont Blanc I’ve marianated myself in has killed them....
