Week 4

No weight lost. Have to get back to being strict with myself. Being poorly last week didn't help.

11 11. Going to try really hard to reach 11, 7 and do it in half stone targets after that.

I plateaued this week. Exactly the same weight as last Monday - 14st 5lb (201lb). Wanted to get into the 100's but it's motivation to definitely start exercising from today.

Have still been a good boy - no slip-ups - but the scales are not budging.
I had been thinking what a bad day Monday is to do a weigh-in (straight after the weekend including Sunday dinner). Friday would surely be the better day.
I think I might do that from next week and give myself 11 days into an exercise regime before checking in again.

3 week weigh in, down to 190 so have only lost 2lbs:(:( . This isn't going well. More willpower needed to avoid snacking in between the healthy meals. I even managed 2 spin classes which hopefully will help when the weather improves for the bike. Will revisit the scales in 2 weeks. Those with dodgy knees then get swimming. You can actually run in the shallower pools without really damaging joints. Alternate lengths with running, swimming building up fitness along the way.

Cheers

I’m 6’3 so according to the BMI lads I need to lose about 3 stone in total.

Optimistic.

A giant!

If it helps I spoke to my Dr about BMI he said that whilst it's good not to carry excess weight as long as I stayed at a steady weight a few pounds didn't matter. Maybe 3 stone is a bit much to carry around but at 6'3" a couple of stone shouldn't be too bad.

So I decided to weigh-in again this morning.
After not showing any change (14.5st - 201lb) Monday from the previous week and thinking it was a bad weigh-in day to use straight after the weekend.

My weight as of today is 14st 2 3/4 - 198.8lb (I made it into the 100's! :D).
So I've dropped 2 1/4lb since 28th Jan, making it 15.2lb in total in 30 days.

So still only 2kg down and only a week to go. Not too good hey. Shall try though.

Final weigh in was 6.2.19

Project lose 6kg in five weeks.

9.1.19 minus 1kg
16.1.19 minus 1 kg
23.1.19 minus half kg
30.1.19 plus half kg

6.2.19 minus half kg

Total lost was 2.5 kg which was 5.5lbs.

Bad outcome...nowhere near 6kg
Good outcome a) a loss is better than where I was 2.1.19
........................ b) I still have quite a few chocolates and Christmas goodies to enjoy later in the year, because usually I would have eaten them in january and my weight would have gone up another three pounds so I could say 5.5 lbs and three pounds = 8.5 lbs lighter than I would normally have been.

Project over, holiday now, then back in march to hopefully continue a downward trend ( ie lose holiday weight gain).

14 stone 4 at the moment want to try get a 1.4 stone off by April.

Just cant seem to motivate myself though working in an office seems to make you fat.

There are bits you can do. No food at your desk because you'll snack. Have your lunch away from your desk so your brain can focus on the fact you are eating . Stop when you are replete not full. Drink water, a lot of water it fills you up and makes you go for a wee which involves walking :)

Walk every lunchtime. If you have stairs use them. It's not much but it's a bit.

Don't worry about what's gone, focus on what you can do next.

I'm trying to but for Valentine's I'm having steak with a peppercorn sauce, chips and a salad and probably a pud, is that the focus you were talking about?

Nowt the matter with that, life's to be lived.

I've fluctuated around the 17 st mark for the last 20 odd year. I'm 6ft1 BTW.

Until the beginning of December when I realised I looked and felt terrible about my shape and weight. I realised I must have been comfort eating & drinking since I lost my parents

Was sat in the house on a Thursday night 2 weeks before Christmas and looked on my ipad for the nearest Slimming World class. There was one that night in Carrville so I went along and joined. I was 18 clem at the weigh in!!
Another 2lb loss next week and that will be 2 stone off since then

I have found it really easy to be honest I could have probably done it on my own just not eating chocolate, cakes, biscuits etc and I've cut right down on the drink
I hope to get below 15st before Easter.
I've started running and everything

I feel food

To everybody here
keep it up and don't give up it feels great losing weight

There's clothes in the back of the wardrobe that have been there since the day I bought them cis they were too tight and couldn't be arsed taking them back
I am now wearing them and look loads better and feeling good

Good luck everyone

Congratulations on your weight loss that's fabulous news and it gives me the motivation not to give up. Onwards and downwards as I keep telling myself .

I would recommend slimming world to anyone
The diet is just ordinary food, plenty of veg fruit etc. But you can still eat potatoes rice pasta etc along with every type of fresh meat Inc bacon
So it's no big food change just very little sugary food which makes sense really

Only £5 a week
I don't stay for the class I just get weighed and nick off. Just gives me the motivation and target

Six weeks check in at gym. I've lost 6lb and 12.5 inches of fat from my body

Healthy eating, cutting back on junk food and three workouts a week at the gym.

Lost most from my chest and abdomen. Thrown some old bras out as the bands were too big and I'm fitting into tops that were too tight. Work trouser waistbands were cutting into me and they felt tight round my bum and thighs. They fit comfortably now.
