The last of us was crap
Games are far too long these days. It seems like certain reviewers will whinge if the game is less than 90 hours. This results in games which are padded out with monotonous shite.
I would also agree with this. As a family man now a game like The Witcher wouldn't get finished in a million years so now I lean more towards Rocket League and quick pick up and go games.This. For someone with a family I need games to be short otherwise like RDR2 it gets played for an hour then binned.

For all I can’t. I’d love to get stuck into something like the Witcher. I’ve had Zelda a year and RDR2 since launch and neither are complete.I can't focus on games that last an age these days either. It's pretty much rhythm games or Tetris where I can play for ten minutes while I'm bored and then off to do something else.

I’ve bought Horizon and The Witcher for a second time after originally trading them in due to lack of time. Still have Horizon but I’ve sold The Witcher twiceIve done an hour on RDR2.
Horizon about a third through.

I do the same everytime. Massive RPG buy for £40 on release and it gathers dust
Games are actually too cheap these days (which is why we're stuck with micro transactions).
I remember paying £60 each for Mario 64 and Mariokart 64 the day I bought the N64. I remember it seeming a bit steep, but cartridges were renowned for being a bit more expensive. I reckon I got more value from Mariokart 64 than any game, before or since....Fair point with inflation like.
Almost certain new ps1 games were 40 odd quid on release.

I always buy the basic edition these days, and they’re still around £50. Never go for the deluxe, gold, platinum, ultimate etc editions as by the time the dlc stuff is available I’ve stopped playing the game and forgotten all the buttons!Mad that like, wouldn't pay £60 for any game.

I’ve been waiting for that to hit £20. Same with Detroit Become Human. Then I’ll be all over it!Same, although the only game I pay full price for is FIFA, everything else (barring Red Dead last year) I'm happy to wait for.
Be picking up God of War this weekend for about £25.
