Only been in once, about 30 years ago - I tagged along with the Inn Place darts team who were playing a game there. The barman said the juke box was free, so just before we left we chilidshly pressed for "Rawhide" about 30/40 times .. still wonder how many times it played

If you want to drink out of beer-stained dirty glasses of which the barmaids walk around picking out of the bins, run them under the tap and pour the next pint in. Then it's exactly the place for you. Burger van on the premises is decent. Usually get some idiotic pissed up away supporters that thinking there on Green Street too depending on who we're playing. Best off going to town and having wthe short walk over the bridge to stadium. Or if your posh as fuck gan to The Hilton. Lovely place for a pint

I'm sure the burger van maintains very high hygiene standards

Good record!

Dont drink in sunderland often ..left sunderland when i was 12.......in the roker days always drank in the grange/blue bell, great times but a bit far from the sol for logical use...where is the harbour view ?guess it should overlook the harbour!

Given where I now live I don't get to the SOL these days but always used to drink in the Derby pre match and then get their bus up. Do they still run it?

Good record!

I'm old enough to remember the TV show with Eric Fleming & Clint Eastwood (plus whoever it was that played Wishbone), as well as the Frankie Layne song.

Just checked - Laine not Layne.

It’s a far cry from the days Brenda had it and me and @Sutty used to park there, have a couple of pints and wander down to Roker Park. There were a couple of dozen in at most pre match in those days.

She was an absolute legend, used to sort tickets if we we’re struggling to pick up from the ticket office, not to mention the hospitality when the car was broken into once,

Kids made very wwlcome in the karbon grill?
Just a regular menu or do they do any matchday specials or owt?
Give it a whirl tomorrow I reckon.

Think ill treat us, had a mental week so feck it.

Mind the egyptians takes some beating pre match!
