:lol: It was definitely written down as hair, I bet it was some nugget on a phone with nee idea and it should have been Mr & Mrs Hare. I once got a request to send some information out to a Mr Bellend I'm sure it was some one with a grudge spamming the guy. Anyhow I did send it , but I addressed it to "The Occupier"
WHOOSH! :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Anyone want to quote or summarise the article? I refuse to turn my ad blocker off on a site that immediately triggers 14 blocks...

I don’t think he was being serious. Do you not see a common thread among all those acts?

Er...neither was I. In my book Sting can’t sing, his music is boring and he is a grossly overrated pseudo intellectual who is from the NE when it suits him, and I’m afraid I couldn’t resist mentioning the cancellation of his gig today because so few wanted to go.

Delighted to hear they're coming back eventually. Wouldn't expect them to put them on at a loss but even if they just break even (albeit it might be seen as a waste of time given the resources could be used elsewhere) it's something that massively benefits the city. As a club, Sunderland AFC should benefit the city where possible, these concerts are a good way of doing it
Spot on the concerts are a massive boost to the city.

Was sorting some files out at work yesterday and noticed a reference to a Mr & Mrs Hair, I immediately thought Gary :lol: This place gets to you ! I'm often behind a car on a morning going to work part of the reg is MLF and I'm going massive lads fan in me head, :lol: mental isn't it ?
Loads of FOJ reg plates about as well!

Just shows what lying bassas Bain and his cronies were.
I think he was stupid, terrible. But I also think that he based the statement about the club losing money on the conerts on the cost of replacing the pitch and the revenue which was foregone by not having preseason friendlies. I think that revenue projection was wrong.

I wouldn't go as far to say he lied,just that he was an arrogant twat who only cared about making his own mark and as I always say,looking tough.

What’s this?

Moyes blamed the concerts for the bad starts to the season. He wanted the concerts stopped so we could have the first home game of the season and a pre season friendly at home. Bain agreed with Moyes then the concerts stopped.
The concert money was suppossed to be spent on the upkeep of the stadium. The club lost this revenue stream now the SOL looks shabby and in need of good clean up. We never mafe money on home friendly's so why have them, unless we are going to invite one of the top European Clubs

Sting has apparently written a musical/rock opera called The Llast Ship and was going to perform it at Spillers Wharf in Newcastle this weekend. The gig was cancelled a couple of days ago with the promoter blaming the management company and vice versa: however, it is thought that of 15,000 tickets available only 3,000 had been sold.
:lol:

It’s a f***ing nightmare getting the Metro after a gig at SOL. Sunderland just doesn’t have the transport infrastructure to cope with shipping people in from other parts of Tyne and Wear.
