Reading that article (The Shields Gazette website is abysmal may I add) it's a disgrace like that the club turned down hosting the Rolling Stones there like. Sums up how we were being run.

This news makes me happy, all I can is fuck off and good riddance to Short & Bain, ha'way the concerts

Delighted to hear they're coming back eventually. Wouldn't expect them to put them on at a loss but even if they just break even (albeit it might be seen as a waste of time given the resources could be used elsewhere) it's something that massively benefits the city. As a club, Sunderland AFC should benefit the city where possible, these concerts are a good way of doing it

Excellent, i would say it was about the only thing they done well over the last few years. Plus, i was at the stones on Tuesday at west hams ground and it was a shambles and i thought Sunderland would have done a much better job.

The Boss was amazing pity about the weather

Phenomenal, when max started the drums and he went into Badlands it was just brilliant

My mate at the club reckons the new Beacon of Light building can host indoor concerts up to around 2,000 capacity. We could utilise that for the next level down bands and have them on all year round.

It was mentioned early on about it being a potentially doubling up as a music venue, but seems to gone quiet in recent times on that. Theres also the new auditorium thats being built next to the fire station, but think thats to be a lot smaller.
