Anyone playing The Golf Club on PS4

Quite happy with the first tournament on TGC.

Shot 70, 71, 71 and 69 to finish -7.

Finished T107 like, what d'you need to for promotion?

Thanks for the heads up on the 20% - been busy lately so haven't been on last couple of weeks. Just fired in 2 decent rounds which takes me to around that position. Finish solidly and who knows.

There will be players flying up through the tours this month I bet...!

No problem, they only do it once per year, but like you say, you can make some big moves. I've had a good 1st 2 rounds on my PGA debut and sitting T10 on 22 under, hopefully I can keep it going much like yourself.
 
Was thinking of getting this as wanting to something completely different to what I usually play. Is it easy enough to get into or do you have do a few tutorials to start with (which I don’t mind anyway). I see Amazon have The Golf Club Collectors Edition On for £20 is that the usual price?

That was the first game, latest is The Golf Club 2. Having said that - TGC3 is due later this year, but if you can get TGC2 for a decent price I would go for it as you will get loads of game time out of it. Are you PS4? £14.99 on Prime so I would say that's worth it.

The game has a few basic tutorials but really it's a game more designed as a simulation - so it's a case of practice practice practice until you get the 'knack' of it.
 
Without wanting to put too much of a curse on it, looks like good starts for me and @shepherd88 this week. Shot my first 59 on the game last night :)

I will settle for top 20% but looks like we are both in with a shout of wins after 2 rounds...

Fucked up massively in the 3Rd Round last night, 4th round wasn't aa bad, but still.not as good as my first round.

Proper controller breaker the 3rd round.

Edit: Just seen I was top by 2 shots after round 2. On -18, finished on -28. Nervous wait now, but can't see me finishing top.

I'm yet to play my third and I'm fearing the exact same thing :lol: I'm also top by 2 shots after 2 rounds but tempted to leave my third round until Friday when the 3rd round leaderboard gets updated. That won't happen like, I will be too tempted to get a solid third round in tonight...

I wouldn't worry too much, you've probably blown the win, but looking at the other scores you should be good for top 20%. Wish I could play a round or 2 with you guys and maybe give you some pointers

My game is coming on leaps and bounds the last few weeks, the main thing is the accuracy of shots. Feel like I have the knack of it now. Driving accuracy has been 93% and 100% last 2 rounds so hoping to keep that up. I'm currently leading CC-C tournament at the minute, would love to get a couple of promotions in this month...
 
I played it for a while but havent picked it up in a few months. Lost bit of interest in it. Can you get to the pga tour etc? I just kept playing season after season and got a little bored. Am i missing something?!!

I think 95% of the tours play under the influence at some point. I tend to leave my tgct rounds until I'm not boozing, so mainly midweek.

I joined the cc-am society to check the xbox scores so far. As far as I could tell there's 3 players beaten your final total, I think 2 were in cc-d and 1 was in cc-e. I just played the 1st round since I was in there and shot this XboxClips | Hootbleet Missed 2 hole in ones by inches too. Probably the best round I've ever had in this game :lol:. I think you're looking good for moving up this week

CC-A, B and C are on a different schedule to D and E though, Im not doing that course. Sheps is, can he borrow your score!?

Edit: Bushwood Open is this weeks event for A-C

You’ll be ok for promotion this week on that course I think. Can’t remember what you need to do next week to keep your card, is it finish in the top 70?

With a bit of luck that score would’ve been my first round in the 40s. On the consecutive par 3s, my ball rolled past the hole on the 1st and I hit the flag on the 2nd. I hope I play as well tonight but I doubt it.

I’ll play yours tonight and use it as a warm up round for my pga event. Our course is really tight with no light rough, so I’ll need to be hitting it within the cone to score well.
