Anyone playing The Golf Club on PS4

I'm getting a bit better not great online though what difficulty do you play career mode on
I can't remember what the levels were, didn't play too much on career mode. Pretty much exclusively play the TGC Tours society. Would recommend joining, if not just for the variety of courses it leads to playing. Loads of different levels too so don't worry about how good you are. It's pretty much just a "real world" set of tours.

Tried this properly last night, quite like it. After doing all the lessons tried my first golf session, was a bit hopeless but got better as I was finishing. Finished 13 over par.

You will come on leaps and bounds with more playing. I haven't been playing much recently at all as being away with work loads. This years TGC Tours season is over now anyway, so going to take this up again properly when the new season starts.

Definitely going to need more practice. By the time I finished my first course, I was 39 over par 🤬 my putting was letting me down, but like everything else takes time and practice I suppose. Going to give it a try again this evening before the match.

Which clubs are you using? Also what system are you playing on, PS4 gameplay is much easier than Xbox and PC.

Also some courses play much easier than others

PS4. As for clubs I think they are basic ones that you start with.

TBH even though I am pretty useless at the moment, I am finding it enjoyable and quite relaxing to play.

if you're using beginner clubs, then try to ensure you play the courses from the shorter tees, the longer tees are generally designed for tour club users. Also when you're putting make sure you move the putting marker to adjust for the length of putt and speed of green

Season 6 of TGCTours started this week, for anyone looking to play this game a little more. Didn't play much myself last season, so going to give this one a bit more effort. Get signed up if you are interested... TGCTours

I have just signed up, simply because I used to love PGA Tour Golf back in the day!

BTW how do you practice? Just log in to Steam?

I'm on PS4 - but the game is more or less the same. There are some basic tutorials that you can run through - apart from that the only practice is to play and play. Scores are always dreadful when you start, they do start tumbling down though with patience and practice.
Is it worth spending the extra on TGC 2019 or just TGC1/2?
I enjoy 19 more than 2 so would recommend the newer one. Should be able to pick up for a decent price now.

There is also a good forum for TGC. A good section called Driving Range which could be handy for newcomers to the game. I'm on there as well but don't post much at all. It's good for keeping up to date with the tours side of things.

I'm currently in CC-A.
