Just saying that players develop at different ages.

This thread could've been about Henderson, a while back, rather than Honeyman ...... regularly said that Colback was a better player.

Baffles me still why he gets so much abuse on here.

He is a tidy player, finds a Sunderland player with most of his passes, wriggles his way out of trouble and is quick to turn in the middle of park. He can beat a player (this has dried up as the season has progressed but we know it is there) and he gives his all and is always showing in the middle of the park.

No idea why he seems to be so hated on here, he's a decent player at this level and is definitely good enough for the bench when all are fit.
Are you his fatha?

Embarrassing thread for too many - when will they learn there are shades of grey between black and white (and no i'm not talking about an unwashed mag shirt).

Lets hope when Maja and Asoro have a couple of duff games and miss a few sitters that the abusers don't come for them.
I fear that they will. Sadly it seems to give pleasure to some.

He is definitely the least of our problems.

Academy player since he was 10, young, desperate to play for us, works hard, never hides, capable of the odd killer pass (as in yesterday) and has scored a couple of goals (I saw the one at Bury and it was well-taken).

Like it or not our future is that Coleman takes players like him, plays them, improves them and then has them playing together as a team.
If we are going to get out of this mess and progress beyond it then players like Robson, Honeyman, Asoro, Gooch and Maja are critical - we might get in a decent loanee or two if we are lucky - probably younguns like Clarke-Salter and Browning or has-beens who CC think scan still contribute - but the days of us buying in 'talent' (although mostly we managed to buy in dross for millions or tens of millions of course) are long gone.

Decent player, and has some quality. The weight of his asssit on Saturday demonstrates this imo.

Always busy and will put his foot in - gets an unfair rap for me.
