Aye, it's mostly the stuff that doesn't get to Metacritic for me - Deep Dark Woods, Paul Major, Band of Holy Joy, the Parquet Courts thing etc. Baxter Dury's album should be interesting as well. Also, Julien Baker...
MeAll about Baxter Dury for me. The singles have been great as are his previous albums.
On a separate note. Anybody off to see Moonlandingz in Brixton in a few weeks by any chance ??
Will have to try and grab a beerNice one. I'm in London working that week so it's worked out well. Never seen them live before but only heard very good things.
f***ing hell. Just started on it, it’s dreadfulI wish Weezer would just stop making music. First two albums are brilliant.

Do not touch it. Just don’tYou're a braver man than me. Won't go anywhere near owt new they've released in a long time. Iirc their fans made a petition years ago for them to stop making new musicShame, the first two are classics imo.
I saw them in Leeds this week. They were great. First time I've seen them despite getting the Blue album when it came out in 1994. They played some new songs and they sounded great. It was a brilliant night, the crowd were so up for it.I wish Weezer would just stop making music. First two albums are brilliant.
I am spending the weekend sweating the small stuff so you don't have to... thus far:
Baxter Dury: a tad brief at 9 mins. Very good though...
The Paul Major compilation: well that's just ace! random vaguely pysch-folk tracks he;s found on his travels. I think it's related to his book.
Band of Holy Joy: normal service resumes.
Ed Askew: well, he's one weirdly eceentric elderly eccentric weirdo. Has it's moments.
Deep Dark Woods: this is the bunny! Wonderful Americana. @Mick Dundee give it a listen...
Was going to post exactly same thing about Baxter Dury. I've only listened to it twice and really like it.
My discovery of the week is the new ajohn Maus album. Really good 80's sounding synth.
