Arrested in 2011 for obstructing the police
Sent home from Australia in 2013 for being pissed on duty
Guilty of speeding 4 times in a year and threatened with jail if it happened once more in 6 months
Breaking his hand punching a locker in anger and missing games because of it.
Apologizing for taking the piss out of a disabled kid.

Hes done a lot to overcome problems from a while back and I agree most of the above is hardly crimewatch stuff but it would be wrong to say he has had an unblemished reputation.

Well that makes everything ok then. He's been nice to some bloke and his wife once in east Durham.

I don't doubt he's a nice bloke when he hasn't got alcohol in him.

For the record, I'd like nothing more than the police to say nfa asap and Stokes to go to Oz. But all the while this is up in there the ECB have been left with little choice.

After a bit more of him gobbing off he shuffled off down the road trying to pick a fight with anyone walking past. He must have been popular with his team mates cos they all went in the club and left him!

I think if owt they'll all get charged with a public order offence.

I'm a big England cricket fan, my flag goes around the world with me. There's only one series where winning is more important than taking part and that's the Ashes. Why wouldn't you want one of your top 3 players going? He's one of the few players who'll give the Aussies a metaphorical f*ck you when they're in our faces trying to intimidate us.

Once again mate, I have not found him guilty of anything, I have seen a bloke on a video continue to punch other blokes when even his own mates were telling him enough is enough and when even his own mates were trying to pull him off.

I happen to think that is unacceptable whatever charges are made or whatever any paper has to say on the matter.

I simply make my own mind up whatever I think is acceptable, and what has been said by several people which I 100% agree with is in the last 30 seconds of the video his behaviour is unacceptable imo.

It's about what you believe as a person is acceptable behaviour not what any papers say.

Why is that? Being charged isn't the barometer of him behaving in a really poor manner. Not being charged only means the CPS are less than certain of a conviction of a crime. Whether he gets charged or not most of the posters on here and probably Stokes and his parents would reckon his actions were over the top.

I don’t think there are. People have been pretty balanced, saying he is in the wrong.

I hope he isn’t charged obviously because I want him playing cricket. But judging by that video only, he is well over the top. And if that is correctly representing what happened, he deserves to go to court for it.

Are you trying to argue that a character assassination hasn't taken place because Ben Stokes didn't have a good reputation anyway?

He may have had a few blemishes on his record, he's certainly no angel, but when a newspaper starts digging like fuck trying to vilify everything about a person, that is pretty f***ing low.

This is the same newspaper that hacked a dead girls mobile phone.......

More than once but hey ho I hope he gets all this sorted. Be interesting to know the full facts of this nightclub issue but the video issue is a non story

More than I thought .... but a few of those was when he was little more than a kid 17/18. Still it's a couple more incidents than I thought.

The newspaper stuff has been over the top like, not written by the cricket writers, they then sent people to hide in the bushes on Jos Buttler's stag do, and tried to make a big story out of the fact Finn throw a dildo to his mate, that is the time of coverage we have been dealing with.

Its sad like, god I hate the sun.
