Books every time.
I haven't used a Paperwhite kindle though - any good?
Yes. With the backlight you can comfortably read with the lights off (or on an aeroplane, when the cabin lights are dimmed).
Brilliant
No. I ditched a Paperwhite for the tablet.Do you not find them hard to read compared to a kindle, just can't get on with kindle on a tablet
This for me too, no need for a light on in bedTablet with Kindle app.
Why? Tables are shit for reading on when outside (on holidays)No. I ditched a Paperwhite for the tablet.
I buy all mine 2nd hand off eBayBooks every time, tried a kindle but it’s soulless compared to a book. Can’t beat the buying a book experience, normally a Bonny wad student serving, itching to get back and read it, fresh pages....class man.
Definitely going against the flow with that move likeNo. I ditched a Paperwhite for the tablet.
Thank you both, I may invest come pay day
Funnily enough last book I bought was second hand off amazon, this....I buy all mine 2nd hand off eBay
Are you on stage anywhere, for a week?I bought my mam a Kindle for Christmas. She uses it as a bookmark.
What do people prefer/use these days?
I personally always use a physical copy, only once used a Kindle and didn't feel right so went back to proper books.
Where is barter books? I love a good rake around, old school style, bookshopsI use both. I was adamant I wouldn't get into kindles but they are handy when travelling and you get some good offers. However, one of my favourite things is still going to Barter Books and mooching about, and if you take a bag load of books in you pay nothing for the bag load you take out. And the hot chocolate is wonderful too.
