Much more than a 25p saving in my experience like. About £2 for a pint of real ale, that's about a quid or more saving on most places.

Their craft cans at £2 is about half the price of elsewhere too and it's comparable to supermarket prices. Ideal for match days.

Well 25p was a figure plucked out the air but if a saving on a pint is 75p+ more than that well what can I say.

Unless you are drinking a boat load of pints what are you actually saving?

Prices vary from bar to bar,and I'm not a poncey bar type of person at all.

I just dont get my knickers in a twist over the cost of a pint.

If it's a night out, I don't care, certainly won't spend all night in spoons. If it's before the match, I'll gladly save a tenner or so drinking in spoons. They probably have the best variety too, which helps.

Just had a look at the app there. I will probably use it on the odd occasion I go in. It is well set out and easy to find stuff aswell as being able to see the prices upfront and even the amount of calories in your pint.

I prefer a proper pub, but when you consider what they actually are they could be a hell of a lot worse. I wouldn't choose it, but I'd be quite happy to meet mates in one as a kick off to the night.

That said, there's some f***ing horrific ones that attract a right bunch.

To be fair, a massive pile of horse shit in the centre would make Crook better for the locals

Till somebody nicked it.

We got talking about spoons last night it's one of only 2 pubs that I've ever complained about the food. Well it wasn't exactly an official complaint just some lass came over and said everything OK with the meals. I told her the amount was tiny less than a kids meal and I wasn't exagerating it either. She waffled an apology saying they'd look into it and quickly left.
According to a mate the food is delivered to the pubs in plastic bags and if the chef (microwave operator) doesn't squeeze the bag out properly you get a small portion.
Do they still buy close to date beer, in bulk and that is why they are so cheap?
Anyway I don't go in them anymore regardless of the price. The tables are never cleaned which is bad when you're eating. They seem to run them on a shoestring staffing and service suffers.

Why would you ever gan to a pub and drink out of a can? You might as well just sit in the house with an even cheaper one if cost is your overriding factor when buying a beer.

We called in for a pint after work and after trying it was still there 7 hours later.

It's the best thing about modern technology to be honest

I did some auditing work for another chain and nearly everything comes in portion sized plastic bags apart from things that have to be cooked fresh like steaks and chips. Even pan fried mushrooms were already pre-cooked in a plastic bag and warmed up in the microwave!
