Had some cracking nights out with the Perth mackems!Cheers mate, that means a lot.
I'm just exchanging texts with a lad called Dave Ashfield who I used to stand in the Fulwell with.
He's gone from Seaburn to Oz to Hong Kong to Paris and is now in Devon ...... great lad and Sunderland mad.
Did they have permed hair at the time. If so I witnessed the pair of them get stuck into some opposition fans (not sure what club) on the platform at Leeds when travelling back fro Man Citeh by train in 89. Lost 2-4
Only reason I can recollect this is because the 2 lads were definetly twins imo and I believe they got off at darlington.
Had Mrs with me, she thought it was all disgusting!!

I was on a flight to schipol on way to Abu Dhabi last November and was a good number going over for the Ajax game.I think its a generational thing. We are all 40+ and grew up with the Vauxies (slosher etc) before the Seaburn stuff captured us. They are brilliant lads but in the last few years the elephant in the room has been Feyenoord.. It's hard to overplay the association between the 2 teams now although obviously on here there's loads of dickheads jumping in. We have a year of nobodies arguing about the link followed by our annual association. We will see them again at Easter hopefully just before the Coolsingel.
Don't rise to his bait Reiver the bloke has some serious issue's.There you go Jacka.
There's plenty like this wanker, and the one who liked his post, who doubt me and call me a liar.
Sorry if I'm a bit touchy but this kind of shite is relentless![]()
It's just been our thing and I can't explain why. It was DB's 50th the other week and his best present was a feyennord badge.I was on a flight to schipol on way to Abu Dhabi last November and was a good number going over for the Ajax game.
My cousin went over.
Reiver clearly knows what he's talking about. And it is great to reminisce. But like I say the contemporary focus has moved to Rotterdam. That is the thing which is massively underplayed on here amongst all the windup merchants. It has become the new focus amongst the main Seaburn lads and many of the old Vauxies ie DB, JJ, DF etc. That is undeniable although it is great to revisit the good old days. It is not to downplay the efforts of decent lads like Hutchy etc to get all the old lads together but the focus has moved as the dickhead Bain will understand when he brings Ajax to town again. That will be Gary Bennett's testimonial x2; they are not welcome and will get a shock.Don't rise to his bait Reiver the bloke has some serious issue's.
Once the bairns are older I will go over for a game or two. It's just been our thing and I can't explain why. It was DB's 50th the other week and his best present was a feyennord badge.

We will see what happens when Ajax come. They are not welcome and may find it slightly different to the last time.Once the bairns are older I will go over for a game or two.
Beautiful place.
He's a character that's for sure is Pete. Known him years. I went to Holland pre season years ago with him for a friendly against Heronveen and to say the few days away with him in Amsterdam were entertaining would be a massive understatement. We were on our way back from Millwall iirc and it hadn't been a great day.
It had been a long day with a bit of trouble, we were lost in London, tempers were fraying and we still had hours to get home ......
...... not only that we had lads to drop off in various places so the driver was getting cranky through lack of drink.
We pulled up to ask directions and Pete Crosby, @CrosbyFTM pay attention, jumped out and went into an all night barber.
After 10 minutes, of waiting, I was absolutely f***ing raging and just about to go in and drag him out.
But the door opened and Pete came out with his head shaved down the middle leaving just the bits around his ears .....
..... he looked like a baldy middle aged man and we all cried with laughing, I thought I was going to choke.
We laughed all the way home and as we dropped him outside his house, at 2am in Beeston, Pete said,
"Wish me luck lads, I told her I'd take her out for a meal when I got back!"

rivs a cracking lad best thread in years on here ,,,,Cheers mate.
Tbh there's no reason people would know me. I left the NE at 8 years old, never lived closer to Sunderland than 130 miles and never travelled from there.
There's an army of exiles who are virtually unknown, on here, but just as much 'the lads' as anyone else.
I don't give a shit if people know or believe me tbh.
I didn't realise I was that important. God knows how I resolve that. Where's Bill Gates when you need him. Or even Eric.I'm trying to private message you but your account doesn't allow it
That's themI know at least 4 from Slough who used to travel regular in 70s. All bar one had dads that were born in NE.
No his surname was DonkinDonk? Big lad, got his nickname from 'donking' people spark out on top of their heads?
