Did they have permed hair at the time. If so I witnessed the pair of them get stuck into some opposition fans (not sure what club) on the platform at Leeds when travelling back fro Man Citeh by train in 89. Lost 2-4

Only reason I can recollect this is because the 2 lads were definetly twins imo and I believe they got off at darlington.

Had Mrs with me, she thought it was all disgusting!!

Seen him years ago on train to Hibs pre season, told me yo get off the stop before which we were anyway as staying in Edinburgh so needed to hoy bags in.
Think it was lively that day and we never even made the match!
Hello Jacka. Just been talking to Davie who is a very close mate of mine and he's wondering who you are? No aggression just curiosity since you seem to be at all the places he was.
Had a right laugh at the Forest match when it was their 'end of season party'.

I can't post it on here but we'll hopefully meet up at some point ;)
You seem like a class lad Reiver with loads of genuine stories. Without being a clever twat the problem is that very few local people know you who you are. I know quite a few of people on here but we don't know you. I guess it's the equivalent in life of having to turn left when all the busses turn right.

Cheers mate.

Tbh there's no reason people would know me. I left the NE at 8 years old, never lived closer to Sunderland than 130 miles and never travelled from there.

There's an army of exiles who are virtually unknown, on here, but just as much 'the lads' as anyone else.

I don't give a shit if people know or believe me tbh.

Nee one is doubting you.

Are here is again....bullshit threads bragging about his alleged exploits back in the day.........fantasist.

There you go Jacka.

There's plenty like this wanker, and the one who liked his post, who doubt me and call me a liar.

Sorry if I'm a bit touchy but this kind of shite is relentless ;)

I used to follow Sunderland all over just as a normal supporter.

Moved to oz 5 years ago and forced myself out of going to further my career.

Been home over 3 years now and still not going all of the time due to having two kids under 3.5.

I've met some fantastic over the years following Sunderland.

This is why we are the best supporters in the land!

Cheers mate.

It's not a question about believing you. It's quite obvious you are telling the truth. Your stories align too much. It's just we are all from the north east, and we know Hutchy and especially people like Mackie and Davie Brookes. We've known them for years. But genuinely that's nothing against you. In many ways you've had to put up with more to support SAFC than we have. You've come from a different area and backed a team who've been rubbish most of the time. I don't mean any offence.

Living in Wakey & travelling home & away everywhere I had 3 key " groups" I knew .... colliery lads - Easington etc inc family, "townies" generally from the Beehive ( Gunner, Bear, Beazie, Donk, Sammy etc) & Frankies bus/lot.
All had brilliant blokes you could rely on if & when it kicked off.
Still see some of them at games, but we have all got older ( but not necessarily more sensible) ;)

Donk? Big lad, got his nickname from 'donking' people spark out on top of their heads?

Cheers mate, that means a lot.

I'm just exchanging texts with a lad called Dave Ashfield who I used to stand in the Fulwell with.

He's gone from Seaburn to Oz to Hong Kong to Paris and is now in Devon ...... great lad and Sunderland mad.
