Its definitely a transition period for the club and if they can hold their own in the CC for the next season or two that will reflect great credit on The Academy and Colly/Benks.You must be logged on to see external links
Must say I too am looking forward to seeing what Jennings and Richardson can bring to the fore. I kind of agree with the BBC that we might struggle but that's by no means an admission that we are a poor side. I see us as a side in transition and I'm delighted that the youngsters are getting a chance because we have some immense talent coming through.
I'd see a 5th place finish as a huge success, so with that in mind I think (hope) I'll be a little more patient if lads aren't scoring runs or aren't taking wickets. I reckon we've got rid of some deadwood over the winter and except for Harmison I think everyone left in our squad can offer something. I'm even willing to give Muchall another chance if he comes in at 6 and can score a few useful 50's when the chips are down
Oh and the weather over the last few days even seems to have perked up. Granted its still been cold but the sun and blue sky combination seems to be coming at just about the right time

As for Muchall, my reading of this situation is that he will only appear in the Cc if someone dramatically loses form and for the limited overs stuff for which he seems far more suited.
As expected really. Borthwick is an interestingly case in point. Wonder how he'll fayre bowling leg spin in April! It's the same side that finished last season except for Colly, Mutchy takes his place. Here's hoping the weather stays dry for all days.
