In other news. Bopara has scored 4 runs in 2 innings against Cambridge, including a golden duck in te second innings. Muppet.

Smith sent down 18 overs and took 2 wickets. If he isn't in the plans for next week it seems odd giving him so many overs. Unless it was just to get spin from both ends with the old ball?

maybe we're trying to feed them runs so the game lasts longer?

hasnt worked tho :lol::lol:

Clearly we now know the team for the somerset game, bar the number 3 position. Good day today and it will be interesting too see whether DCCC declare tomorrow and get some additional bowling practice in or just bat.

Glorious day mind. Left with the Beer Festival starting to gain momentum.

I'm non plussed as to why smith bowled so many overs.

Don't forget Peppa Pig's here tomorrow.

Then again how could you when Durham have been eager to tell us this for the last few months.

Annoyingly the club have not put reports on their website for either of the first two day's play.

That means either they don't consider a pre-season friendly worthy of reporting, or they don't have anyone to do it.

Tons for Jennings & Smith on the stroke of lunch. Declared @ 244/1.

Students need 495 to win - or realistically 2 sessions to survive.

Hard to drop Smith after today's ton.

Struggling to see who drops out for Colly.

Colly may not be fit for the Somerset game yet, he'll play tomorror for the seconds and I'm guessing a decision will be made on the Wednesday morning whether he plays or not.
If he is fit then I think Richardson seems the one likely to miss out.

At least they have got 3 full days of cricket in,and most of the keys players have had plenty of time spent in the middle batting and bowling. Iam surprised by how much spin has been bowled in this match. They look as if they where two seam bowlers light in their line up, but for Borthwick and part timer Smith having more success than the seamers is a slight concern.

I suspect these pitches are far drier than people are expecting

The easterly wind and not much rain/ snow has been sucking the moisture out for a month now, unless you started with a bog like Cls club

Not according to the club website he isn't

Colly was due to play in this game but apparently he's suffered a reaction following a net session yesterday, it could be touch and go whether he plays against Somerset now.

Sounds unlikely

Sounds unlikely

Yes, it's so unlikely that Colly was whisked off to Leeds this morning for more checks with his specialist. Fortunately, he's been given the all clear and should play on Wednesday.

Wet and cold here at the seconds game, 27 overs a side and they'll be lucky to get it finished.

Has Harmi turned out?-it's a bit caad!
If there's the slightest doubt about Colly I wouldn't play him on Wednesday.

Considering how our fortunes changed when he took over as captain, I'd still play him even if he had two broken arms and two broken legs.
