Show me where I said it does marra? I said he's a successful businessman, he is. I'm not sitting here acting like I could, Piston is. I'm not saying me and my mates know more about business than some of 'them' whoever the fuck 'them' even are.

How many owners of clubs in the world have football qualifications?

He still hasn't named the people he thinks are doing a piss poor job.

So who are these people? You still haven't named one.

How many other owners in world football have experience of running football clubs before they buy one?
The ones who got rid of Colback, the bastards!!

Well there you f***ing go

Tell him to keep his head down and he may get to manage our club. He'll have qualifications so Piston will approve his appointment.

His qualifications right now are to suck my wallet dry and drink beer like a fish!

That's all it's about

I'm still wondering how you get qualifications to run a football club. Is there some type of college or summit

Back in for a short while.
I'd say running a big football club is very little different to running any big sports club in a competitive league. The money involved in this country might be more but it's dwarfed by some other major sports.
80% of the tasks such as contracts, agents, contract renewals, player registrations, work permits, training facilities, transport, matchday events, injuries etc etc etc (the list is almost endless) will be virtually the same to manage as an operator. That knowledge could be gained through many different sports whilst gaining experience in a variety of roles.
So, just to recap, the nuts and bolts of the job will be similar in many sports. This to me would qualify an applicant to cut his/her teeth in a reasonable sized football club, maybe championship downwards to gain the extra football specific training before a top job.
That type of grounding makes the "nut and bolt" tasks second nature, which they should be. What then sets the top people apart is contacts in the game and direct access to influential people.

I personally think the communication lines between the club and fans is threadbare at best and there doesn't seem to be a figurehead. Their idea of interacting with the supporters is updating the website with a line or two. That in my opinion isn't interacting or engaging with human beings. It's become a faceless organisation.

I actually think there are related college courses to do this type of thing. A few of my team mates did Sports Science type degrees but there are specialist elements which can be combined with them. One went on to have an extremely successful career outside of actually playing sport and his sports career in itself was outstanding. I think his sports degree had a leisure element to it. Interestingly for him he rose to the very top management in a sport he didn't play.

Anyway, what's all this got to do with Colback??:)

Most clubs are like this man, our lass supports Arsenal and is reading this saying her clubs the same mate. The charisma bit you talk about imo means fuck all, few clubs have a charismatic figure behind them to attract players etc

Like I said, who are these charismatic figures behind Arsensl, Chelsea, hull, Swansea, Burnley? It doesn't really matter. Money and location are the biggest factors.

Quinn was carasmatic and is now getting stick off one or two ppl who reckon he had nowt together.

I have np with you saying x or y has no idea, but you just lumped the whole lot of them In.

You don't need qualifications to be successful. I left school at 13-14 without one qualification and I'm doing extremely well for myself. I know people with business degrees who have fuck all together. I bet you do too.

The club has issues, as does every club I just don't believe it's half as bad as you make out mate. I don't assume ppl are doing there job wrong as I have no real idea who does what at safc.

Fuck Colback, he's history.

Enjoy your night my friend

Does anyone have a job where they don't have a Job Description, Accountability and Performance Targets?

I understand the club's a private company but it'd be great to see who the f**k is supposed to be doing what and what they're getting measured by. It's more f**king secretive than the Magic Circle.
I can't think of any other business that operates like this, it's a complete f**king shambles.
