Wrestling - Part 3

Cody must of been dying to bleed for the rating to go up 😂
Honestly though it means nothing as you will still get the same poorly written story and angles that will amount to nothing with the same rematches and 50/50 booking. 🤷‍♂️

It just represents a shift in demographics.

Honestly the quality of the shows have gone up, WWE's biggest problem right now is that their biggest asset is ironically their biggest problem - Roman Reigns has defended his 2 belts once in 100 days and counting so far (Vs Riddle) and they've got to figure a way how their monster heel can lose a belt without looking him looking weaker. And they're on a limited time to do it as Survivor Series is a Brand Champion v Brand Champion PPV.

They had 3 options at MITB imo have Rollins win, take 1 belt off reigns by cashing in at Summerscam, eventually leading to Cody winning at mania.
2. Give it to Riddle who actually is popular and not being rammed down everyone’s throat like Austin theory, cashes in on lesnar after summerslam, have riddle and orton have a long feud.
3, this was least likely (massively) Zayn wins beats Reigns after summerslam which factors into the whole Sami Zayn trying to join the bloodline craic , becomes transitional champ until the uk ppv where Drew McIntyre to win.
Instead we got Austin Theory who is very good but not ready to have a world title run.

And I get people think reign’s is the problem but there is no one realistically who can beat him because of bad creative not getting people over and building people up instead we get part time Brock v part time Reigns, they were focusing on Cody and the second he got injured they were screwed because they don’t have anyone built to replace him.

So I imagine McIntyre will take one of him at uk ppv, which will be a class moment to see in the uk but to have reigns lose to McIntyre is just meh to me, they should have built someone the last 2,3years and they haven’t.

WWE going back to TV-14 is very interesting.

With the exception of Wrestlemania (which was shit) I haven't watched any WWE programming since the Wrestlemania before and I have been completely on board with AEW.

However lately, I have enjoyed AEW less. Predominantly because of a growing abundance of content in the vein of why I switched off WWE, the kind of stuff that makes you cringe when someone who isn't a fan catches you watching it. Orange Cassidy, Danhausen etc. That's before the fact that there is just a growing influx particularly in the women's division of WWE cast offs who I didn't care about there such as Ruby, Toni Storm and Ember Moon rather than people I actually want to see like Hikaru Shida.

I hope this is just a blip from AEW because mostly I have really enjoyed their programming, but it is definitely in the past few months on a downward trend IMO.

I agree with the Danhausen stuff mind, i hate it, I know why they signed him and he basically pays for himself but it’s just not for me, personally like OC but the match against Wardlow on Wednesday had far to much comedy at the beginning.
On the women I personally think all 3 you mentioned have already and will improve the women’s side more and Shida is class (think she just come back from a few month in Japan) I’ve said before I don’t mind not seeing people for months at a time it keeps things fresh and the roster they have they can do it, some people I’d like to see more of and vice versa.

Fightful saying Edge is debuting his new gimmick next Monday..

Tonight's promo was class, but there's serious vibes of a 2nd person also in this....
It's either just Edge or WWE have gone for jugular and gone for both Fiend and Edge together

Andrade and Lethal will make this entertaining at least (I hope) like I said the other week the card itself actually looks very good.

Who’s buying the PPV of Flair’s last match? When that figure fours locked it’s WOOOO. Read a rumour that he’s planning on doing a table spot…

These video packages are always well done, they need to find away of getting some on tv occasionally for more people to see.

Darby Allin man, absolutely mental 😂 he’s gonna be crippled on his mid 30s at this rate
.
Eddie Kingston missing the Uraken 😂 Christ
.
Thought it was a decent show but that ending was terrible 😂 probably should have went slightly longer as they tried to cram far to much in to the main event.
Gan on lad 😂

Vince McMahon retires, the day no one expected to happen

He has been an awful person on one hand (sexual harassment and his treatment of Bret Hart) but he has been so amazing on the other (Wrestling genius) ...cliche to say but he there won't be another person like him in wrestling.

I stumbled across a podcast of Jericho and True Geordie (I know). I watched the first half hour purely for my interest of Jericho and listening/watching podcasts isn’t something I do too much of. Jericho was of the opinion that Vince would never retire. This does come as a surprise in one sense but speaks volumes of the current mess he’s been caught out in on the other.
